Dave Clark Five, The - Look Before You Leap Lyrics

You got to look
Before you leap
There's heartaches around every
Corner
You got to look
Before you leap
There's heartaches around every
Corner

Well, one fine day I met this girl
And she was, oh, so fine
Well, she said, "boy
I'm gonna love, love, love you
A-for a long, long time"

Now I said, "A-wait
Huh, wait
Oh, wait
Oh, wait
You got to look
Before you leap
There's heartaches around every
Corner
You got to look
Before you leap
There's heartaches around every
Corner"
Well, she said, "right, I'm gonna prove you're wrong
Just you wait and see
Now take my hand and look into my eyes
And you'll disagree"

But I said, "Now, wait
Huh, wait
Oh, wait
Yes, wait
You got to look
Before you leap
There's heartaches around every
Corner
You got to look
Before you leap
There's heartaches around every
Corner"

Mmm, now that she has seen the light
And it was understood
Cause the very next day she walked away with someone else like I knew she would
So I said, "Now, look
Huh, look
Oh, look
Oh, look
You got to look
Before you leap (believe me, baby)
There's heartaches around every
Corner
You got to look
Before you leap (I'm telling you, now)
There's heartaches around every
Corner
A-so look
Mmm, look
A-look
Before you leap

  3. j.... l....

One of the groups best songs. I never tire listening to this tune.

  4. P.... ....

Sir Anthos Putnam brought me here

  5. 6.... R....

Thanks so much for posting this! Love this song and had trouble finding it on You Tube! DC5 forever!!!

  6. .... ....

This song is coupled with "Please Tell Me Why" both UK & US.
On UK "Look Before You Leap" is A side.
On US "Please Tell Me Why" is A side.

  7. B.... ....

I believe it was a B-side. Probably would have charted, maybe 25 at highest point. It should be remixed with less organ and sax

  8. J.... I....

THIS should have been released as the single from that album, not Satisfied With You, great song and post.

There's a lot of DC5 tunes that got lost in the listening shuffle.
