I spent many days/weeks listening to this on cassette tape. I lost my mind when I first saw this video on Rap City which was also my first time hearing the song. Literally underground hip-hop (check out the video sometime). Nice memories of this era. I still think of my first time hearing Redman, K-Solo (The Incredible Letterman), Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Cypress Hill, and Kam to name a few. It seemed like every few months a new group or solo MC came from left field and changed the hip-hop landscape, and challenged your perception of hip-hop. There was always something exciting, fresh, and original around the corner. I consider myself very fortunate to have the memories of experiencing hip-hop during this era.
