Darkest Hour - Those Who Survived Lyrics

The ones who strayed
The ones who were left behind
This looks like something
Someone would try to hide
Those who survived
Are those with blood in their eyes
Push the pressure
Add more fuel to the fire

Stop submit admit
You've lost control
Salute as you plummet to your doom
Fall in prepare yourself for the

Cold calculated chemical embrace
I've been waiting and
We've all been warned
We all knew this day would come
And yet we ignored

We're all going down
We're all going to burn
I feel the presence of another
An ancient one
Pulling us closer
The time has come
Brace yourself for the impact

From the wreckage we crawled
Broken and bloodied we go on
We must move forward
We must continue into the beyond

Now all I see is their blood
And all I've ever known is gone
And yet we ignored

  10. R.... K....

1 of my favorite bands to see live. I've seen them invite the crowd onstage for a pit with them, always a blast

  11. P.... F....

When people chat shit about metalcore I link them to bands like this or Misery Signals, Poison the Well, etc. It pisses me off when people listen to Asking Alexandria and say core sucks when bands like Darkest Hour exists. Ah, the ignorance of the metalhead.

    P.... F....

this ignorance is the one part i hate at this scene

  12. T.... E....

this song is badass , the riff at 2:00 seems like is some kind of Slayer tribute

  13. T.... F....

Carry on tradition!! It is vert important for every genre of music to embrace the culture, these guys do it well!!

  14. n.... ....

YES YES YES BRUTAL AF. THE BOYS ARE BACK!

  15. D.... ....

Getting strong Sylosis/Revocation vibes from this, which isn't a bad thing at all! This rips

  16. J.... N....

This is awesome. Erases the disaster that was their previous record.

  17. Z.... S....

They're finding their punk roots again! slowly but surely!

  18. S.... G....

They are back with a vengeance!!

  19. N.... J....

    I think I'll buy it

  20. E.... ....

What happened to the lead guitars? Oh well, every band has their peak. Here I am expecting a return to that, it'll never happen.

    E.... ....

EagDesert check out the other songs from the album

Among the songs released on youtube so far, 'Knife in the Safe Room', 'Timeless Numbers', 'Those Who Survived', 'Another Headless Ruler of the Used' and 'In the Name of Us All' I am playing a hardcore oriented metalcore sound that makes me remember the earliest time the song is the origin of the band, and melodic death metal elements that have been intensifying since the early 2000s are almost hiding. Just like 'The Misanthrope' and A new album that pushed out hardcore tastes that can also be said as the origin return to the early days of 'The Prophecy Fulfilled'. Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE) was a recording engineer and produced last autumn. Melody intrinsic to a complicated musical composition wrapped in low quality sound is an impression that skillfully extracted and refined the essence of DARKEST HOUR and finished to be a culmination of 21 years of career as a culmination.[

  28. S.... M....

I love how I discovered this band just last year and now they're making the most killer material of their careers

  29. 0.... ....

I like production of this album. It sounds so alive. Sounding a bit overproduced and sometimes even digital, was the only thing I did not like sometimes about these guys. And this song is really good. Hoping for a best album since Undoing Ruin. Love u guys!

  30. m.... ....

This is gold. Great stuff for those who want some pure metalcore goodness, reminds me of Unearth.

  31. M.... l....

Now this is a pleasant surprise!

  32. D.... ....

Really digging this new DH material looking forward to the new album😈 some good workout music to blast

  33. e.... s....

They have so far released the songs 'Knife in the Safe Room' and 'Timeless Numbers'and 'Those Who Survived', which have both indicated a return to the band's usual hardcore orientated metalcore sound.

    e.... s....

the melodeath influences seem sort of absent tho

  34. c.... ....

Damn this is going to be the best album they have ever made potentially.

    c.... ....

cmares5858 gonna be hard to top undoing ruin and deliver us

    c.... ....

APatriotVirus you're not wrong. Those 3 albums were so fucking good! I think this is their best work since that era

  35. K.... ....

    Fat juicy breakdown for breakfast

  36. C.... S....

    This sounds like Unearth....

    C.... S....

Connor Sojourner-Henson They used one of Ken's guitars for the recording actually. But this sounds as close to unearth as it does to a big pair of balls smacking against the hind quarters of a very horny cow. According to a friend, like.

    C.... S....

    I wasn't bashing them lmao...

Be glad I didn't say it sounds like Volumes haha

    C.... S....

    or Suicide Silence lol

    C.... S....

Yeah no SS plz. Unearth is palatable though, so def not an insult.

    C.... S....

    you're right lol

  37. M.... M....

this song kicked me in the ass

  38. J.... ....

the vocals are sick! loving the old school thrashy sound. not many bands can go back to their roots and still kick ass like this

    J.... ....

+Killer Bean No, are you? Ever heard The Misanthrope or The Prophety, Fullfilled albums?

    J.... ....

Niskinatorn Neither The Misanthrope nor The Prophecy Fulfilled are post-hardcore. If that's what you think, though, what do you think bands like Silverstein are?

    J.... ....

+CaptCorleone What genere is it then? I'm pretty sure one would label it post-hardcore.I listened to five songs from Silverstein, and I must say that I have no idea what kind of music that is. It doesn't sound like old Darkest Hour - so I fail to understand why you brought them up. Please explain.

    J.... ....

Niskinatorn I'd say somewhere between melodic death metal and early metalcore. Silverstein is post-hardcore. That's the post-hardcore sound.

    J.... ....

Niskinatorn they have nothing to do with post hardcore

  39. D.... ....

Leaving Sumerian was the best decision this band ever made. I had almost written them off after their self-titled, but these songs have me excited.

    D.... ....

    And leaving Victory :3

  40. S.... G....

Wow.. this song. I always preferred the faster paced songs.

  41. D.... H....

stoked as fuck for this new album to drop.

  42. E.... M....

I might shit in some people's cereals with this, but I really hope there are at least a bit of cleans on the album... all new tracks are fucking killer, but throughout an entire album this might get a bit boring... S/T was the only DH album I could enjoy in its entirety, and even though it's mainly because of the serious improvement in John's screams, the cleans must've also played an important role in it becoming my fav DH album, so I hope they don't abandon that kinda sound completely.

    E.... M....

@mjc71189 shit i just realized i haven't heard much before undoing ruin thanks for pointing that out

    E.... M....

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both the fast paced heavy and clean vocal sides of the band but that opinion is outnumbered, the fans want a return to a more classic sound.

    E.... M....

This is like Hidden Hands on steroids!!!!!!!!!

    E.... M....

Eat shit man. They were good before cleans too

    E.... M....

Benjamin Brown some sadist nation vibes

  43. D.... T....

    I miss the melodeath sound

    D.... T....

Glad to know that pal, thx for the announce

    D.... T....

    let me get that shit

    D.... T....

I like this a lot more than the prevoius one

    D.... T....

    This IS melodeath

  44. I.... ....

    Man this fuckin amazing.

  45. A.... ....

I can't fuckin wait, this album is already amazing with only 3 songs released. I fuckin love you guys!

  46. M.... ....

All three singles from the new album are fucking awesome! Can't wait for the album!
