Darkest Hour - Lunar Divide Lyrics
Trapped under your race, and under your glow
Been away for too long to know
How we ever began, and how we ever will end
I never wanted to be the one
I thought I wanted to be alone
I see the morning light
And live for this moment
Yet I celebrate the night
With anyone, anywhere
Now that you've been on my lunar side
(Now that you've been on my lunar side)
And maybe you'll never know
And maybe you'll never get this right
Are you someone I'll never find?
Follow me right into the center of
My secondary life, into the crypts, divide
I forget what it's like to close my eyes
I see the morning light
and live for this moment
Yet I celebrate the night
With anyone, anywhere
And now that you've been on my lunar side
(Now that you've been on my lunar side)
And maybe you'll never know
And maybe you'll never get
This is not what it seems
Lifelike infinity-dreams
Wilted lacks giving same
Lifelessly wandering away
This is not what it seems
Will anybody ever be enough?
Oh, just a crushing and hollow crush
Lifelessly wandering and forever following
Somebody has this dream
Will never want to ring
Never want to rewind
I see the morning light
and live for this moment
Yet I celebrate the night
With anyone, anywhere
And now that you've been on my lunar side
(Now that you've been on my lunar side)
Maybe you'll never know
And maybe you'll never get this right

Trapped under your race, and under your glow
Been away for too long to know
How we ever began, and how we will ever end
I never wanted to be the one
I thought I wanted to be alone
Oh, but I need this now, so much mor than I ever have
I see the morning light
And live for this moment yet
I celebrate the night
With anyone, anywhere
Now that you've been on my lunar side
(Now that you've been on my lunar side)
And maybe you'll never know
And maybe you'll never get this right
Separated the body and mind
Are you someone I'll never find?
Follow me right into the center of
My secondary life, into the crypts, divide
I forget what it's like to close my eyes
I see the morning light
And live for this moment yet

Those ghost notes... Those fucking ghost notes*-*
I remember having a physical copy of The Eternal Return and learning every note on guitar 10 years ago. That was the last Darkest Hour I listened to. Really digging their newer material
The Misery We Make Part 2?
Best DH song ever IMO. Can't get enough of it!
love this song. and I love the album. one of the best releases 2014
1 of the best songs on the album
i love the fact that darkest hour changes their sound in every album, but they are still awesome, even though this is the one with the biggest change in style, it's the best album actualy
Hahaha, 2:02; Mastodon influence much? That's fucking killer. I'm digging this new album; been a fan since Hidden Hands. As musicians they went a different direction for once, and it's nice to hear them experimenting! Rock on dudes!
I really thought I ill never hear that boring death core ,or I do not knnow what it is, part in the begining.dddd dddd dddd dddddddd...I guees everything ends indeed..I guees they are still good..
on the cd disc version of this album this song is listed as "Beneath The Blackening Sky"!? Someone needs to clarify!!!!
@Viscoun Kosaka Thanks! So both copies only have 13 tracks? Are you certain this is accurate how'd you confirm this? The back of the album & lyric book say nothing about having "bonus" tracks :s Sumerian just straight fucked up?
So maybe Canada got shipped a bunch of mess ups? Because my hard copy has only 13 tracks. Using other mediums to confirm song titles, tells me that my copy of the album has tracks titled as being on it, that aren't, and has songs on it, that aren't listed as being on it. The lyric book has lyrics for songs that don't match up to the songs. Tracks 11,12 & 13 on my disc aren't labelled properly, tracks 11 & 13 seem to the "bonus" songs, and the songs meant to be tracks 11 & 13 aren't even on my disc. I wish Sumerian would respond, kind of ridiculous I would think they'd be happy to help out a paying customer who wants to pay for 15 songs.

@Michael Reddekopp 13 for one sold in stores and 15 for itunes.
@matt11708 exactly, what the issue is, is that the publishing & the lyric booklet printed on my hardcopy list song "A" as being on the disc, but youtube lists song "A" as song "B" & song "B" isn't actually on the disc. It's nothing more than a publishing error on the hardcopy & all I need was clarification as to what song was which since the lyrics weren't matching up to the track titles. Apparently Sumerian is the new Victory Records when it comes to customer support.
Song is fantastic. Wasn't big on this record on the first few listens, but it's really grown on me. Fantastic album.
NEVER CHANG YOUR SOUND YOU FUCKERS!!!!!!
Things evolve... Let them evolve their sound. If bands stayed the same sound for 6 - 10 years straight, they will get boring.
wait for their next album it will go back to normal that's why they are doing it themselves crowd funded. when they switched labels I'm sure they told them to tone it down
I love this album. I tried to give their old albums a listen but I just couldnt get into them.
Are you crazy!! There last album was amazing!
You cannot be serious. So sedated, so secure, undoing ruin, and deliver us are their best albums.
It's crazy, people would say the same thing about Converge, and yet Jacob Bannon prefers their old stuff far less too. Preference isn't grounds for fact. Music is purely subjective and some music just doesn't resonate the same with others. Nor should it have to. Metal fans, in particular, are way too defensive when it comes to their taste in music.
i actually prefer darkest hour with out any soft singing, it allows for different song structure
FusRoDah2 seems more emo this way is kinda always been a chick metal band though
Ez fakkin jó!!! :D
Fuuuuuuuuck yeaaah amazing.
Absolutely amazing...
FUARKK YEAHHH!!
"Reminds me of dead by april" I really want to bash my head in now.
I see the similarities in this one but the cleans are a little different but nothing wrong with it... Dead by April is sick
@Joey Pasta Someone has a different opinion than mine? someone perceives a piece of music differently than me? Fuck them they are wrong and im right!!!!11111
@Joey Pasta You have the mentality of a fucking 4 year old. "My dad is better than your dad because of a bunch of nonsensical arguments"
LMAO. Get a life.
The cleans sounda like bfmv
this reminds me of dead by april. love it
I'ts the best song from the album...from every fucking album mankind ever made :D
