Darkest Hour - Hierarchy Of Heathens Lyrics

Create the same opposition
It's all part of the plan
Design the sordid creations
Wipe the blood from your blade
The call of the pigs
Sense the defeat in the air
Take all of their heads
Leave everybody to rot to the end

In the wake of men
Living on borrowed land
So you can carry out
The will of your master's plan

And I've been a slave and a noble man
No difference anyway
I've been away for too long to tell
The predator from prey
[X2]

Erase, erase the division
It's a sign of revolt
Always silence my barrier
Are we products of all we've been taught?

In the wake of men
Living on borrowed land
Is all we know

And I've been a slave and a noble man
No difference anyway
I've been away for too long to tell
The predator from prey
[X2]

Our will is
Our will is dead
When we hang our heads
Defeated and beaten down
Your faith is a river in which you will drown
Our will is
Our will is dead
When we hang our heads
Defeated and beaten down
Your faith is a river in which you will drown

We are a sign that burns
We burn it everyday

And I've been a slave and a noble man
No difference anyway
I've been away for too long to tell
The predator from prey
[X2]

Go and cover your heads
You don't know how to live
You're already dead
This is the moment to
Free your pitiful soul
You don't exist
When you're under control
This is the time to decide

    Maybe. It includes the song.

  8. AwesomemusicMaan

I fucking hate when bands do this. Put this song on the regular copy!

  9. squall9126

The Human Romance was a great send off for ryan parrish, he will be missed but i'm pretty sure whatever band he hooks up with next will be as awesome as Darkest Hour, i hope at least. DH just gets better and better with every release.

  10. The Sleepwalker

Damn. Not alot of bands can do the clean vocals thing right but DH does them perfectly. That part at 2:09 is so perfect. They always know the perfect time to start singing. Anyways this song slays empires.

  11. mylifeintheknifetrade

Darkest Hour is so underrated. Definitely some of the best trash metal out there. I remember listening to 'Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation' for what seems like nearly a decade ago and having my mind blown.

    The Mad Hattress

Except this is melodeath, not thrash. Other than that, I totally agree.

  12. hanctho12

    so fucking awesome!!!!!

  13. Vehcra

your faith is a river, in which you will drown! so fuckin epic.

  14. Inca127z

it has that triumphant metal feel to it

  15. LpCool19

I think you are right, DH does have a good taste in ending the album. I mean I see this song (ending wise) as like...a last goodbye or something. Idk how to explain it but...it somewhat reminds me of Tranquil. But that's just me.

  16. Sacocones

i love darkest hour, preordered this album and am still having eargasms (:

    Benhard Wiesner

how can you love darkest hour and still praise the sun? o.o so contrary......

  17. Tim Kauger Media

This song should be included on other versions of this album. Such a perfect closing track, like they always do.

  18. Squip From Be More Chill

this song is raw as hell, gave me multiple eargasms first time i heard it lmao

  19. Surrey

    @Rainnnny Well its on iTunes
