My favourite Danzig album. Massively underrated. Glenn's vocals on the whole album r outstanding. The songs r pretty special as well. This is the album i talk about when asked about Danzig. Flawless. Not a dud song on it.

Glenn's music with the group Danzig, the first four albums as prime example, plays with Christian metaphors to examine the friction between good and evil, want and need, desire and knowledge, compulsion and control rather brilliantly. It's genius and a oft forgotten aspect, really driving theme, of the lyrics. He obviously sides with the darker aspects of this conflict but in doing so allows the listener to decide if there are in agreement with either side by the way they considered it an emboldening message or a cautionary message. Either way its truly a mirror of the listeners on perspective, a musical Rorschach test that Christian and pagan can equally enjoy. In my opinion at least, I have enjoyed it in both phases of my life, youthfully agreeing but then eventually seeing the folly of it in later years. In both ways I have enjoyed it and in that aspect is where both the complexity and timelessness of the music live on. He should be in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame regardless. If Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath are in for playing with the same dynamic, so too should Glenn.
