Dandy Warhols, The - Rest Your Head Lyrics
Go to sleep the play is over
Left your ticket on the seat
Be redeemed when you're dreaming
Lay your head and go to sleep
Heaven knows you surely will
Think about it, take one more lap around it
Close the blinds and set your mind at peace
Waste some time, waste some money
Talk about your wasted years
They devastate you, complete and complicate you
Never minding your wasted tears
Don't you worry till tomorrow
Think about it, take one last lap around it
Close your eyes and let your mind release...
Love and kindness, pain and sadness
All the stations in between
They will derail you, they will assail you
But rest your head, for I won't fail you
Don't you worry till tomorrow
Heaven knows you surely will
Think about it, one last short lap around it
Close your eyes and set your mind at peace.

Dandy Warhols, The Rest Your Head Comments
It's 2020 and I'm still taking one last lap around it....Think about it
cool video...thanks to cp for leading me here....
I'm glad they're flexible enough to make music that fits their skill set as they've aged, instead of being yet another band that wants to pretend they're still in their 20s. Wonderful song.
I just found these people weeks ago, listened to their stuff from 2000-2003..."i love travis" and Heroin is passe', good solid stuff. This has more production and instruments thrown into the mix then that. I can't tell if it's quite to the same level as the older stuff...the simpler their tune the more substantial it is somehow. i have a lot of hope for this band, for making some more music that doesn't suck.
once there was this girl who
Why like this crap? Fuckin maroon 5 is better than this.
you're joking, right?
Why listen to this if you don't like it?
My rule of music- if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything.
You want youtube videos with all likes and no dislikes? Thats boring. I like alternative/indie rock music and 'we used to be friends' was a great song. But like most good bands they sucked in 2010s...
Wish they would play this one live
I love this tune, beautiful lyrics.
Crash Test Dum, ok...but who cares?
They "borrow" a lot of hooks from many songs.Still a good band.
my head feels like blowing up most of the time....big mess..good song good theme
...pain and sadness.
poor song, crash test dummies is right
"Call a technician, the machine is making the Dandy Warhols AGAIN"
I like it very much. ...☼...
You guys sound very different for me now. But I loved, as always. I still dream with a concert in Brazil :/
DANDYS 4EVER!!!
Courtney singing in a different range these days? He's pretty dynamic.
They will be Dandy Warhols for ever and ever .. Love.
If hooks were money, they'd be billionaires.
Strange choice for a single. Cool though mind! :)
I think this is one of the best songs they've written. I recorded a live performance before the album was released and was hooked even then.
The Dandys never disappoint.
Best Band,Best Video,Best Song,Best Best Best ,just say'n ;) <3
I like a lot that
My favourite song from their new album
Those lyrics talk to me deeply
<3 Dandy Warhols
Definitely creepy vid, but fits the song. Rock on, Dandys!
They remind of the robots from Woody Allen's Sleeper or at least Woody in his robot disguise. I wish that I caught their tour last year because they didn't play it this year in Chicago and I really love this song.
love it!
Courtney looks like Simon Cowell nowadays
The music itself reminds me of Space Hog In the meantime but It's still an original piece of music, music is all about what u are feeling so I won't rash on it
Edgy, thought provoking, catchy. I like it! Thinking person's music!
Ode to Queen on the Metropolis.
It's not a video that physically flatters with it's homage to Lang's austere looking classic but that's part of why I like it. Inventive and enjoyable. Just not sure why only Pete gets a guitar and a hat on the production line.
why make this music video. its creepy and pointless. a gorgeous song with a dumbass video.
I like Crash Test Warhols, man!
You guys are Dandy HARD!!!
I can't wait to see you in Boston In June...
Don't forget to bring the kids...
Metropolis + Crash Test Dummies. Not in a million years would I have expected that combination.
Cool.-quite ironic for me since I just watched Dig last night for the first time
Love It!!
Great!
Very nice song and video too which reminded me Fritz Lang's movie "Metropolis" (1927)
Brilliant! Great visual effects, strangely interesting in relation to the music. Thumbs up if you are going to the 2013 #131313 tour for 13 Tales for Urban Bohemia! I'm going in Portland, OR!!!
