Same here! I could easily see this as one of those songs about having a single parent who does all they can to give their kid a chance at a real life and eventually seeing them come into their own and having to let go and release them into the world.


Regardless of what Jon or Will said about it's meaning, I definitely subscribe to the idea that once a song is created, it takes on a life of it's own and can have an infinite number of meanings depending on the listener.

Jost noticed that in 'The Cuddler' Jon screams a line about "getting the decider" and here Tilian sings he's the decider. This band is great.
This has all the potential to replace Downtown Battle Mountain II as my favorite DGD album

@Datkidwiththestuff I agree this album is pretty good some of the best songs I've ever heard on here but don't you think Jon could have brought it harder to this album. Like perfect example being Shark Dad he could have went so much weirder instead he was basically one tone the entire time. Carve he shines better on than Shark Dad really disapointed with that one plus I was really looking foreward to it. Tillian Really shines on this album tho

@Robjobification I feel this is a much more Tilian oriented album to be honest. If they make another album, I hope Jon gets a bit more of a split. He does shine when he gets his turn, but that's probably my ONLY problem with the problem. I see what you mean though, his lyrics aren't AS insane as normal haha I still really like them though 

But I'm biased because Jon is my favorite singer and I try to influence my own style based on his. 

I cant handle the perfection, I'm almost through with streaming the album and I have not come across a single line that I dislike

@Matt Novak Dude, I *almost* saw them live; they were on the Take Action Tour a few weeks ago and came to my town during my college's spring break...but I just couldn't make it. :(
But I'll see them the first chance I get.
At least I managed to catch a show with Slaves; that was pretty cool.

They came twice I couldn't see them but next time. I am going to hold on pain ends on May 2nd.

That's Color Morale and Slaves if you don't know. But honestly it is like a tie DGD live and The Amity Affliction are like the two best live I've seen.

Has to be my favourite song on the album. The tone of the guitar is just so out of the ordinary and different to the vocals it sounds amazing.
