I've got to be honest, ever since 2011 when we were told to drop "Yahweh" and replace it with "O Lord" this song has lost a certain something. A certain quality. I feel the same way about I Life Up My Soul. Maybe it's because since I was a child it was always "Yahweh, I know you are near" or "To you, Yahweh, I life up my soul". It's been 7 years since the new translation for the Catholic mass and still to this day every fiber of my being fights it. No matter what part of the mass it is I'm still reciting the old translation and I'm quickly reminded, oh yeah we don't say that anymore.
RomanCoronado It is so hard trying to lead this song on the microphone and not say “Yaweh”! I’ve got to sing “OH LORD” really loudly in order to stop myself. Can’t go on autopilot during this one.

I agree. The new translation...I still choke on it. I suspect I will go to my grave with a terrible taste in my mouth from it.
