i know this is old news now, but the president doesnt have much to do with this event, so he should get his paycheck. this thing was years in the making and there was plenty of time to prepare. preparations were simply not made by choice. states turned down funding to help as well. this was simply republicans doing their best to impede change.

the other problem is that most everyone that speaks for *we the people* are pretty much owned by corporations and big business(weather directly or indirectly) so they really could care less whats best for us and only seek to do enough to get re-elected and keep making things easier for the companies funding them. their position is a stepping stone to a do nothing job at that company where they will be over payed and rewarded for years of fucking us.

For someone who is disabled and quite literally depends on SSDI, SSI to live. When I heard the news I had a literal nervous breakdown that trigged my seizure disorder.I was sent a letter in advance from SS stating if the gov't was shut down I wouldn't receive my check.Worse still was my mother who gets VA disability due to her service as a Marine Gunny during Vietnam. She is partially paralyzed and depends on the VA for almost everything.She served her country honorably and this was the result.

It makes it so health insurance is better for Americans, aswell as stopping prejudice insurance actions like not covering a specific sex or people with specific conditions. It also provides subsidies for people who can not afford healthcare. I've looked it up, I was wrong in the matter that it gives healthcare, however it opened a window not previously opened for people who could not afford healthcare and didn't know how to buy it because they never had help from the government, but they do now. If you'd stop being greedy, you'd realize how much this helps poor people.
