I fucking love this song! I wish you would re-release it with the subtitles replaced with the scripture verse. I know the verses are in the top right, but reading the lyrics kinda distracts from the imagery and the message. Putting the verse where the subtitles are instead may encourage people to actually look them up. As someone who has both been subjected to the biased interpretation of The Bible, and has read it in its entirety of my own volition, I can say that the most important thing to take away from this, is that book is a work of fiction designed to keep ignorant people from learning anything of importance. I mean you sit down with the intention of learning everything you can about your creator.. and after 200 pages you are so damn lost in names and lineage that you completely lose interest. So you seek guidance from people who claim to know everything about it, but in reality they only know the snippets that others have told them about which have been interpreted to have some grand meaning that was never in the actual text. It is so much convoluted nonsense and I believe it is imperative that people actually read the book in its full context. Sadly though it was designed to deter people from reading it cover to cover.

Okay, I feel like a lot of folks commenting don’t understand a single thing about the Bible/and verified history, and are just commenting like the bars in this are all spat out in one go. Don’t get me wrong. There are looooads of violent parts in the Bible. It gets wild. But so many parts of this are out of context — and purposely so, it’s to make a song, it isn’t intended to be “about” the Bible. But let me just say my little 20 cents and I’ll be off. Rape is only mentioned a couple times throughout the Bible, always in association with people God considers evil and demands to be executed. Israelites who perpetrated rape were to be summarily executed, since any sexual activity during military campaign was illegal. Also. The people Israel were fighting in all of those violent quotes were nations that practiced beastiality, child prostitution, sex slavery and BURNING BABIES ALIVE so they could supposedly get better crop yields. Just a little bit of info for anyone who cares (especially since it was highlighted so much in the song). Anyways. Love yah!
