Very emotional song!! I got feels from listening to it, no tears or anything like that, but a sense of feeling.

Will, I know that you really like to add more power into your songs but bruh. This is my favourite on the album because, your voice may be good but when you turn it softer like this is goes from good to amazing. I don't think you fully grasp sometimes how special and enrapturing your voice becomes. While I do enjoy the other more power based songs as well nothing is as lovely to my ears as this. The lyrics are sad and painful but despite that, the smoothness of the voice fills me with joy and serenity. I feel like I could just sit with my headphones and this song on repeat for days. ❤️

This is great!

This song is the summary of every emotion I have

I`m getting all the tears and feels to two songs " Diamond In The Rough " and " You`re Better Off " But we`re not better off without a diamond like Will

In my times of High School, I had too many of these feelings. Every time someone would ask me if I was "ok" I would always say yes, but I was always in the dark drowning in my sorrows. I never wanted people to get close to me so I wouldn't drag them with me. I didn't ever want to hurt anyone with my negativity and make them feel like they HAD to help me. If others focused too much on me, then they would get nothing accomplished for themselves. So they would be, as the song says, "better off without me." Eventually I realize that I would get nowhere just by being doubtful of myself. I put more confidence in my capability on what I was doing in school and who I was with in High School. I rose to the challenges and surpassed them. Do those thoughts still haunt me?... yes... but im pushing on with a smile on my face, because nothing will ever get accomplished If i just sit around feeling pity for myself. Take action, push forward, and only look back to remind you how far you've gone; because the journey is long with difficult challenges and yet... it has just begun. I hope to all who read this, have a good day and/or night. :)

I love it but I didn’t expect it too have such weird timing on some parts

You know what I like about this song? To me, the combo of the piano and guitar creates a fake happiness at certain points (EX: 1:33), which is kinda like how one feels when going through these anxieties. They fake a happiness until the anxieties get to them, and hits hard, which is where the vocals come in, they show their true emotions of what they were hiding.

This song feels like it could be a Queen song.

It's rare I cry short a couple tears but I've listened to this song 10 times and I can't stop crying. All I can say is thank you Will. You and your friends have helped me so much. This song helped my heart heal. Favorite song in the album for multiple reasons. This song like a few others has a journey to where the song lyrics change. It’s a very yin and yang feeling song. Starts of sad and dark and lightens up like a calming after a storm and the sun shines through.
I have been through a lot the last few months and I knew I’d fall in love with this song after going through hardship with my love life, to hardship with work. Some key components of my life are apart of this song so personal connection makes this the best.
With any of Wills songs I feel personally connected to like how he does with them I try to learn it on my guitar or go and play piano and hear it through my own emotions as well as wills. this song really hits me in the feels cause last year i was tempted to suicide due to what i was going through but i am still here cause of the IRIS/Heart of an Artist/Goliath's Throne album sending a message saying you can keep pushing for just one more day so push God dame it push for your life and that's what i did and here i am hoping that what i am saying and to the song that is playing will help people to understand.
