Louis Jordan was possibly one of the most important writer, singers, musician, and visionaries of American Music. Rock, Rap some many other styles owe this guy and his band. From the guitar lick on ain't it just like a woman that had to influence Chuck Berry's Johny B Goode to say it nicely all the way to the story tellinng tunes by Dylan. I can see his inflience again and again. It is nice to see some real talented artist doing a wonderful rendition of one of his classics

cindy lauper has surprised me! been hearing previews of the cd mamphis blues on NPR she did a fantastic job on this album i've caught myself even dancing to her music. not too often i hear a song or two n go but it right away thanks cindy.
