All three songs were from his 1975 studio album, 'There's No Place Like America Today', and on July 13th, 1975 the album peaked at #13 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart...
Between 1970 and 1997 the Chicago native, as a solo artist, had thirty records on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, six made the Top 10 with his biggest hit being "Freddie's Dead", it peaked at #2* {for 2 weeks} in 1972...
As a member of the Impressions he had twenty nine records on the Hot R&B Singles chart...
Curtis Lee Mayfield passed away at the young age of 57 on December 26th, 1999...

A true musical genius in every musical arena.  The Late Curtis Mayfield will always remembered for singing from his personal experiences.  From the early 60s until his death, he was one to listen to and learn, especially the song "Choice of Colors" - "If you had a choice of colors, which one would you choose my brother, If there was no day or night, which one would you choose to be right?"
