@T gnomechaser I can feel that. I have always been a fan of the fife-y riffs on some of the tracks on The Top and Kiss Me x3 that seemed not to move forward with the direction going into disintegration. I love that album, but I miss me some pan flute here and there!

yeah simon is a beast on the bass. when it comes to a synthy effects style he is a must to listen to. so creative i would recommend him regardless the style. i would recommend this band. from the b sides of staring at the sea on the cassette like throw your foot away, a thousand hours, exploding boy. songs that were not on the cd obviously. the cure is AWESOME every disk. then comes BLOODLOWERS. amazing....that robert made the best album after so many years of success. i love all the stuff. but bloodflowers. its like philosophical.

the only reason i can bear this song as a bassist. Well i mean musically it's fine but i never could bear the lyrics. Even if i have to suppose RS is sorta poking fun at his image.

AGREE. POWERFUL AND MESMERISING

Yeah, this is the one!  Heavy, edgy and definitely dark.   This song and "Burn" are absolutely glorious!

You not a fan of the "dark years" 17sec-Faith-Pornography trilogy? They are definitely dark. Maybe not anywhere as heavy though. Cold is pretty heavy I would say, though.
