One of my favorites

This album seems lazily written to me, as if they were rushed into recording it. Some good highlights but not my favorite.

The people who complain obviously aren't fans. They just like the sounds they made in a couple songs. They adjust to what they want and what they can improve on and expand on. I love the range of the singers!

To anyone who says that they like the old CTE better, or that the new songs sound to hip hop or whatever, just know that this song actually holds alot of meaning. The world I'd your kaleidoscope. You chose to see the world how you want, one little detail alters the whole picture. Sorry if you can't find the meaning in this song.

Maybe this album is way softer than older staff, but I'm Crown The Empire fan, not 'Old Crown The Empire fan and I love it. All albums are different and great.

here i am, at the end again. this is the third time in a row ive played it through, and this album is 80% garbage or more. maybe it is the old cte sound that makes me dislike it so much but imo their new sound never would have gotten them off the ground. and as far as loyalty goes i still love cte, but i wont be buying a ticket to a show so i can wave my lighter around and hold hands with everyone.

This is just my opinion but the problem isn't that they changed. A band can completely change their sound and still be incredible. A good example being I See Stars who after completely changing what they sounded like still produced an incredible album. The problem is that Crown The Empire changed into some shitty generic radio rock bullshit. These songs aren't good, they aren't unique. They're boring, uninspired, pieces of trash.

"Boring, uninspired, pieces of trash" is exactly how I would describe the majority of The Fallout. That album was generic as shit compared to this. This album actually has a soul. Maybe you don't like it, and that's fine, but not liking a sound versus something being genuinely generic are entirely different. Name one song off of The Fallout (Except Johnny's Revenge, because that song was actually decent) that sounds unique to CTE. I dare you.

I don't think you understand that they actually wanted to do this kind of music. They love heavier shit, yeah. But they always felt like it wasn't quite right.

This is not really to sell out, since this was something that they had discussed for a long time. They didn't know if they should just release another album like their last two, or if they should take a risk and do something like this.
They decided to do this, and that a chance.

Honestly, don't talk shit like this if you don't know they facts. Listen to them talking about the album. They have explained what i've just said A LOT of times.

As Jacob said, if you don't know what you are talking about don't talk shit. They also didn't sell out they were being fake, this is them being real.

in an interview they literally said that they all liked very different genres of music and that they all enjoy playing the heavier stuff but they also wanna venture out and do other stuff. and really for all intents of purposes this isn't that much lighter it's just more electronic and Andy's vocals aren't as heavy that's it in my opinion. like they are lighter yes but it's still heavy in a sense. songs like zero or hologram where the verses are almost entirely screaming are perfect examples
