Crowded if you see this I love this song! I’m only 26 going through a divorce. I miss god in my life I feel like I lost my best friend. I turned my back on him but this song lets me know god is there even when I think he’s not. I feel like I miss his attention more then he misses mine. Past couple of months I feel like he’s been getting my attention by calling my name out I can hear it clear as day but I don’t know. I just need some prayers to get me through each day. I want to surrender my life to him and give him all of me everything I have to offer. Because I realize I’m nothing without him

Crowder, I've been thinking about things a lot. I'm not trying to turn people off their faith, but be realistic. Why do people so quickly commit to a bunch of strangers? As in the church.. why do people submit under a leader so quickly? Why is there real guilt that can be had if a person doesn't comply? Why is there a belief just because a person entered a building and prayed a prayer, they somehow belong solely to that church? Essentially allowing a group of strangers to begin to dictate to your life of what you can and can't do?
Why do people so quickly and easily begin to dedicate life and finances to a church? I mean even Jesus said count the cost before you pick up your cross and yet it seems it's like a salesman.. get in quickly before it's too late.. last day chance to have your soul made right... technically it may be who knows.. but it's the pressure that can be placed in even the oh most subtle ways..
I was initially raised in church so it seemed the normal or right thing to do.. but I really needed to seperate myself from them. I wanted to make sure certain people were alright but I'll still never have any desires to go to or be a part of a church again.
But even more so is this.. why do those who remain in a church a length of time some how see themselves as above others? They can become very haughty in attitude.. very arrogant actually.. somehow seeing themselves as holier than others because they have so many days in the church book of attendance..

My tears flow even as I type this message. My wife introduced this to me a few weeks ago when I visited her in rehab. It was amazing to see the what God has done, my beautiful wife even more beautiful. It's like she was illuminated, glowing so peaceful. I can't get it out of my head and it touched me so deeply that I now have found myself crying constantly face on the ground begging for God. Please God Help Me! I started crying during this song cuz I realized how I’ve gone even through the hardest days! One day I was about to kill myself, but I was too late cuz of my online best friend who saved me by reaching out to my parents and told them about me!😭 I’ve been struggling with trying not to curse, but it was really hard! And now I automatically stopped cursing!

For my whole life I believed in the lord but i didnt believe in my heart i wasnt a true follower of christ I just like put on a show and went to church I struggle woth many many temptations that bring me temporary joy never true happiness I struggle every day to try and fulfill my happiness I'm an active duty marine and struggle with being in a different state away from all of my family besides my wife and kids. I've contemplated ending it all but never told anyone and always tried to make everyone happy but insode I was dying. Tonight on a trip back home by myself I decided to play this song and it spoke and moved me in so many ways bringing me to hysterical tears while driving and this overwhelming feeling of cold chills.
