Crosby, Bing - Love In Bloom Lyrics

Blue nights and you
Alone with me.
My heart has never known such ecstasy.
Am I on earth?
Am I in Heaven?
Can it be the trees
That fill the breeze
With rare and magic perfume?
Oh no, it isn't the trees
It's love in bloom.
Can it be the spring
That seems to bring
The stars right into this room
Oh no, it isn't the spring
Its love in bloom.
My heart was a desert
You planted a seed
And this is the flower
This hour of sweet fullfillment.
Is it all a dream, a joy supreme
That came to us in the gloom?
You know it isn't a dream
It's love in bloom.

My heart was a desert
But you planted a seed
And this is the flower
This hour of sweet fullfillment.
Is it all a dream, a joy supreme
That came to us in the gloom?
You know it isn't a dream
It's love in bloom.

Crosby, Bing Love In Bloom Comments
  1. Awsome Aspie

Rene was singing it in Allo Allo and I always wondered what song it was. Love Allo Allo, and I love Bing Crosby

    David Dawber

I think Lofty also sang it in It Ain't Half Hot Mum.

a shame to civilization that this was not included in any of the Road movies. Bing singing LinB to Dorothy Lamour in the moonlight would have been a world class movie scene.

My Mom and Dad's "Song." Beautiful! I can still "hear" my Mom singing it. (They were married in 1936.) Thank you so much for posting this. It's so hard to find! ~0;-)

Bing had such a way with a song, didn't he? Few know that he introduced more Top Ten Hits than any other singer in the 1930's. I liken him to the Elvis Presley of his decade in terms of his popularity and influence on music. He inspired many singers after him. This song -- Love in Bloom -- is just a joyous musical excursion into romantic nostalgia. Bing was truly a song stylist of the highest quality. Thank you for posting.

@GodsFavoriteBassPlyr you're right- there seems to be so little real talent these days- it all depends so heavily on technology- nothing real-the music, the performance, the people- they all seem so phony. Hell, they are. And most of them have zero talent except firm butts and phony tits. If you can call that talent. And they all seem like juveniles. Aren't there any ADULTS out there?

  21. ziggy swartz

Wonderful- beautifully recorded, beautiful song, and Crosby's mellow voice. Too bad he was such a jerk to his family.
But- he does give us great pleasure with these old tunes.
    Thanks for this recording.

    @SeanTerrell How right you are

  23. Gydinglight12

What must have it been to be in the studio the day Bing took this song with sappy lyrics that Jack Benny made his joke tradmark, and Bing made it a pretty love ballad. Maybe Bing's heir to his crown was Dean Martin, who could do the same thing with a song.

  24. SeanTerrell

YES! to @GodsFavoriteBassPlyr. Golden piece of music from the GOLDEN AGE of Music! Bing Crosby Al Bowlly Frankie Dean needed no acrobatics and flashy strobe lights to make you envision what they were singing about!! THIS IS REAL MUSICCC!!!

  25. Gods2ndFavoriteBassPlyr
