Crooked I - Gift Rap Lyrics

Eating Korean barbecue, downtown L.A
Something's in my heart like Michel'le
Niggas askin' questions, make me just wanna walk out like Kelly
R. [?] the gods tainted like Slum Village & Dwele
Well they asked me did Eminem drop Slaughterhouse
Did y'all break up since Joe Budden released Slaughtermouse?
Seen you on Peter Rosenberg and Ebro
Your energy was zero, see bro
Is there something y'all wanna about?
And if there is don't play the nice dude
Just pull an Ice Cube if it's the right move
They ain't putting your album out?
Damn these niggas got an attitude
Thought we'd be yo niggas for life, where's the gratitude
All these questions they pointing them in my direction
Like the business end of a Smith and Wesson but I ain't stressing
Just came home, I was in Detroit visiting Marshall's session
To be in the presence of one of the GOATs is still a blessing
Fuck yeah

Is it really the end of Slaughter?
Did them niggas intend to pen the hardest shit in the mainstream
And then sacrifice they self to a major label
So underground lyricist wouldn't have to? Is them niggas just some martyrs?
We taking no losses
You're comments are nailing us to four crosses
But you didn't even see the four fins in the water, sharks nigga
I know you want to see the beef but it's over when you see the teeth
Individually and collectively we feed the streets
Taking it beat for beat, we gon' cook up when you need to eat, come on
We pledge allegiance to that slaughter flag
And that $20 bill Em gave us to autograph
After we signed the Shady contract and became part of his artist staff
Why would we stiff you and leave y'all the tab
After we all called a cab? Nah, we here to give you what you ought to have
Uplift you with real shit so everbody ain't gotta dab
Damn, this make me wanna see my niggas soon
Fly to Detroit just to freestyle in Nickel's living room
Fly to New Jersey, I knew Joey would bring the strippers through
Then hit up Brooklyn, me and Joell gon' sell a zip or two
We the illest crew

Oh man, Slaughterhouse nigga
The gift rap, Merry Christmas
Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa
Happy Holidays, all that shit
Yeah Housegang man, we ain't going nowhere
We the illest crew
Oh yeah, that album coming out bitch

Crooked I Gift Rap Comments
  1. S.... ....

Has anyone else used the Sunday funnies/comics from the newspaper as wrapping paper? ☺

  2. D.... O....

Watching this a month late...But I can still use these tips throughout the year...Thank you

  3. B.... ....

Man, just get gift bags and re-use them regularly. That's what we do, and boom - no waste. And, most importantly, no waste of time! Unfortunately these SorryGirls tips seem to be geared towards persons (let's be honest - women) who have unlimited amounts of time, nothing better to do, like tedious tasks and have only one or two gifts to wrap. I get at least 20 gifts every year for various family members, and if someone suggested to me that I should cut up potatoes, make stamps out of them and stamp my own wrapping paper... I would probably slap them for having idiotic ideas. This is insane. I hope these women find something better to do lol...Thumbs down for impractical content.

  4. G.... J....

In my area, aluminum foil can be recycled! I wrapped my gifts with that this year and put a prom corsage (real flowers) on top

  5. G.... J....

In my area, aluminum foil can be recycled! I wrapped my gifts with that this year and put a prom corsage (real flowers) on top

  6. n.... ....

But isn't paper with paint on it become unrecyclable? Cause of the paint...

  7. C.... D....

I used recycled patterned paper this year purchased from EarthHero, going to try this next year as we have a large roll available!

  8. 1.... s....

Thank you so much for these ideas! I will definitely be trying these next holiday season! Very inspiring. Love your videos♡♡♡

  10. A.... ....

I love these ideas!!!! But I wanted to know if the paint on the Kraft paper makes it still recyclable? Is the paint eco friendly? 🤔

  11. d.... ....

my mom's eco gift rapping hack this year was Trader Jo's holiday grocery bags that she cut up and used to rap the presents.

  12. T.... ....

I stopped buying kraft paper after switching to aldi bags to wrap ALL of my presents for literally any occasion because they were a great way to reuse them, it wouldn't cost me another penny, and plus they're 100% recyclable!!

  13. A.... G....

You wanna skip the glue and silicone for a total sustainable wrap ...just use more twine

  14. C.... M....

    I want a love button 😍

  15. R.... L....

As a college student coming off a semester of now useless notes and handouts, I am wrapping presents with those. I’m making them cutters with some drawings on top and I can cut out using an extra name tag because I can just write it on the paper.

  16. K.... K....

Did I hear the Windows OS music at 7:40 or am I just a nerd?😂😂😂

  17. I.... ....

Can I please have Kelsey's hairline pls

  18. J.... G....

Wrapped my gifts zero-waste yesterday! I used recycled paper and twine and decorated the paper with stamps (markers can be used too) It was also so fun to do!

  19. L.... V....

My mum has a couple of massive rolls of kraft paper she uses to make patterns for clothes, but since we're not running out anytime soon, we also use them to wrap gifts sometimes. They look awesome just tied with a little twine bow! :D

  20. K.... M....

    i love ur accent at 10:57 😂😭

  21. M.... J....

For the fabric wraping check out japanese furoshiki - shows how to wrap pretty much everything you can think of with a square fabric.

  22. A.... W....

i love these videos <3 i like to take pages from old magazines and/or newspapers to wrap with!

  23. M.... ....

    Amazing!

  24. G.... T....

Definitely using these! I’m an elderly caretaker and all my clients I visit have newspapers so I have collected a lot of that for rapping as well.

    G.... T....

use what you have! love it so much <3

  25. L.... R....

    I didn't know Washi tape was Earth friendly! <3 <3 <3 <3

  26. A.... S....

After watching this my family has started using brown paper and idk why but I have tons of burlap ribbons and lace around the house and they look so pretty on presents!! I also made the dried oranges and they look so pretty on the presents, plus I have about five thousand washi tapes because I bullet journal and scrapbook a lot and ones with pretty reds and greens look very sweet and festive on presents as well. Just note that often the super metallic washi tapes are plastic-based so steer clear of those if you want to have a fully biodegradable Christmas!! All of these hacks look so cute and fun, and the funny thing is that where I live we have a summer Christmas so we never see things like orangey-cinnamony scents and pine scents at our Christmas time (let alone any snowy decor) but I have had so much fun this year incorporating the traditional Christmas decor into our celebration this year!!

  27. B.... R....

The majority were good wrapping tips but I would definitely not want a gift wrapped with something that someone pulled out of a recycling bin...sorry but yuck, yuck, yuck.

  28. t.... q....

This is so impractical.....most of us barely have enough time to buy and wrap presents for everyone in the family and friends.......let alone design our own custom eco friendly wrapping paper by carving potato stamps......lyk are u kidding me? Who has that much time? Housewives and youtubers? Maybe.... but for the rest vast majority of the world.....um,no.....the holidays come and go in the blink of an eye.....and some universities even have finals during this season.....for students and other people the holidays are realy hectic and this concept is thus totally impractical.....dare i even say impossible

    t.... q....

you can use pages from old magazines or newspapers.. it doesn't take that long. use what you have and do what you can!

  29. E.... ....

Since it's for my family, and I already have Christmas fabric for projects, and have a bunch left over, using those to wrap their stuff, then I can just take it back after lol

Also you can just buy a gift bag. I don't know anyone who throws those away everything I know saves them to reuse

    E.... ....

goodwill sometimes has those gift bags!

  30. E.... ....

I bought kraft paper to doodle on my presents since im an artist

  31. M.... S....

Another not fun fact: while watching this I did on of those nasty mouth barf things... ew.

I loved this video and this is also going to help a lot with budgeting too

  32. P.... ....

Now I have an excuse to buy more washi tape 😂 wow did not know that thank you!

  33. E.... X....

I really like your approach on ecofriendly journey. No targeted shame but only positivity and inspiration. Keep up the good work!!

  34. P.... F....

Thank you for always having a green perspective on your projects/art/diys! Sooo important!

  35. H.... T....

Acrylic paint it plastic. I suspect poster paint or gouache is a better option...

  36. C.... B....

Do you need to wait till closer to Christmas to wrap so the oranges don't rot/ the cinnamon sticks and pine sprigs don't lose their potency?

  37. V.... t....

Curse you sorry girl I had gone out to the big box store and got my wrapping paper. Then I watch this return the wrapping paper and did all my own

  38. K.... G....

If you plan ahead you can make even more colorful things. Take bright red leaves in the fall and preserve the color with glycerin (plant based) add a bit of jute to tie onto packages and write names in soy ink or crayon BOOYA you have biodegradable tags.

Use citrus peels from all the vitamin C you consumed over the summer - use cookie cutters to cit flattened peels into holiday shape (small work best) poke holes and string, hang to dry. They make a beautiful pop of color on the Yule Tree - BONUS - the pith side is absorbent so you can add a drop of essential oil here and there (orange, cinnamon, pine, whatever mix you like)

  39. T.... T....

Friend: “Where did you get this bag?”
    Becky: “Someone else’s recycling bin.”
    Friend: *cringe*

  40. C.... D....

I save the packing paper from deliveries! I use it for lots of things but it could easily be used as wrapping paper

  41. S.... H....

🤣 I’m sorry but do we have to go ugly to save the earth?

  42. M.... O....

I will definitely be using almost all these ideas next Christmas! So fun and eco friendly!

  43. T.... ....

Does the hot glue and acrylics paint affect the eco friendliness of the wrapping?

  44. W.... G....

I feel like it's better to just free hand paintings onto the paper.. it takes just as long as carving the potato and you don't waste any food

  45. W.... G....

This is why I'm grateful I don't celebrate Christmas 😭 and if I did we would not buy things for each other cause that to me is the worst part of Christmas

  46. B.... T....

this video seems like it was sponsored by mother nature

  47. s.... h....

acrylic paint is actually not biodegradable, and neither is hot glue (they’re both plastic) ! if you find plant-based paints or even make your own using flowers/natural dyes, that could be a great alternative. i also know there’s natural glues available at some art stores and likely online too. im also pretty sure some washi tapes are actually made of plastic, not bamboo and rice, so people should still be weary about that. i also know that the adhesive from tape/stickers is not environmentally friendly, but you can actually find water activated tapes that are made from recycled materials.

in conclusion: just check your facts everyone ! if you really want to have sustainably packaged gifts, make sure to do thorough research first!

(sorry for going off on a tangent, i just want people to stay informed!)

  48. L.... D....

Isnt acrylic paint like literal plastic?

  49. A.... S....

Idk how it is in other parts of the world but in our ikea we have a little station with wrapping paper (good one, none of that glossy stuff) so you're getting free recyclable wrapping paper!

  50. M.... H....

I’ve been wrapping in craft paper for years because I love the aesthetic. I have used twine and ribbon. My aunt has been copying me, so I might stamp them with ink this year! So smart!

  51. C.... S....

OMG I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!! BEST ONE YET GIRLS!!!!!

  52. M.... ....

You know what makes pine cones and such things not bio degradable? Glueing it on with hot glue

  53. L.... ....

    Is acrylic paint compostable?

    L.... ....

    And hot glue gun glue????

  54. f.... ....

Love that these are completely doable and small things we can do to lessen our impact on the environment.

  55. Y.... G....

I love wrapping Presents, it definitely relaxes me. Thanks for these ideas ❤️

  56. K.... r....

When you send not to buy a single thing I thought of my present for my grandma, it is a doll I made with leftover fabric around my house.

  57. a.... ....

I love the DIY gift bags. I have a couple friends with December birthdays - I think I'll make some Christmas gift bags from festive (yet recyclable) scrapbook paper or some starched fabric bits (cotton is compost-able too) & give a set of bags as part of the birthday present.

  58. E.... K....

Twigs bundled together and tied with string make great rustic ornaments and package decorations. I'm making a garland with them and cotton right now.

  59. T.... W....

I also saw that paper source is selling stone paper, which is recyclable, water proof, and super good qualiy!

  60. R.... R....

Save the brown packing paper from delivery boxes and use that for wrapping paper all year round!

  61. i.... ....

    Acrylic paint isn’t recyclable.

  62. T.... P....

    Great video!!

  63. r.... ....

Gotta make sure those orange slices are *properly* dried out if you live in a damp climate and don't have heating on 24/7. They'll go mouldy!

  64. J.... ....

that intro was Becky being scared of the eco friendly community for 3 minutes straight😂

  65. S.... W....

Do an earthquake proof DIY video! Maybe other emergency friendly DIY’s?

(Love the eco friendly mindset, please keep it up!)

  66. A.... M....

I loved this video! The editing and style were SO on point!! Great job everyone. I’ll be sure to add this to my playlist to go back anytime I need inspo for environmentally friendly gift giving ideas.

  67. G.... S....

Making festive reusable festive gift bags could also be a good option. Making a special one for each family member they can reuse every year would be an awesome tutorial. Maybe stretchy jersey pillow cases (stretchy so more room if needed upcycled with prints, appliqués, tassels and a drawstring at the top.

  68. D.... ....

Hmm. I don't actually know the numbers or anything but I'm genuinely curious. I use a gas stove, I feel like keeping it on for hours for a few oranges seems kind of counterproductive to reducing my ecological footprint.

  69. S.... ....

The dried oranges are cute, but the emissions from transporting them to Canada are not

  70. Z.... M....

    Cold noodle

  71. e.... ....

this video is funny to watch, always love the effort you guys put in editing and filming♡ (gift wrapping ideas videos flowing everywhere, sometimes they get quite boring)

  72. G.... T....

In my parent’s linen closet lives a old zippered bag that a pillow once came in and it’s filled with gift wrapping things. From old gift bags to that thin paper.

We just reuse from that bag every year. There’s some stuff in there that is probably 10 years old from the first Christmas we spent in that house.

  73. D.... C....

Using craft paper, newspaper, butcher paper is how things were wrapped decades ago. Nothing new, but I guess it is new to millennials.

  74. L.... R....

    Brilliant vid

  75. A.... D....

    Very beautifully edited video

  76. M.... H....

My stepmom used the Sunday funnies because they're colorful and she would use her Xmas cards for tags. Brown paper bags cut to fit the gift with a fancy bow she made out of her sewing stash. If you did get a gift that was wrapped in regular wrapping paper you didn't rip into the gift like some crazy person. She recycled everything. Shoe boxes and gift boxes that people have her with gifts in them . This was 46yrs year ago because that's how old I am. She was a head of the recycling game years ago.

  77. B.... A....

I honestly don't even wrap gifts anymore I'm just like here is your gift. I did the hard part for you I unwrapped it 😅😅😅

  78. K.... ....

I bought my wrapping paper from a charity shop this year, donating to a good cause and getting paper that is half used

  79. J.... M....

While we’re on the topic, LISTEN UP: just because you’re using things that are biodegradable doesn’t mean they are going to decompose or are eco-friendly for that matter. What do I mean by that? Well, if you throw things away they go to the landfill. Things can’t decompose because they are compressed down so tightly, therefore there is no oxygen supply and decomposers can’t survive in order to break down the material. Once the landfill is filled up and is sealed off, nothing decomposes and the trash is basically mummified and will stay that way for the rest of eternity. You need to recycle and compost biodegradable things in order for them to actually be eco-friendly!!

  80. S.... P....

If I got a gift with cinnamon sticks on it I’d be keeping those- they’re expensive!!

  81. A.... G....

Every year on Christmas my family will take each piece of tape off every piece of wrapping paper so we can recycle it. We also reuse bows.
    😁😁😁

  82. L.... W....

You can cut apart paper shopping bags and use them as wrapping paper as well! Also if you purchase plastic ribbons just make sure to reuse them year after year, and encourage your friends to do the same!

  83. T.... ....

That specific washi tape looked reflective though, so it’s probably plasticized - keep an eye out for hidden waste!

  84. T.... L....

Does it count if you reuse the bag you got from your aunt last year

    T.... L....

    absolutely!!!

  85. c.... ....

    Great video

  86. o.... ....

A fun and usefull thing to add to the packaging is hand rolled incense sticks. I bundle one or two together with a cinnamonstick and some sage. Looks super cute and is also part of the gift ^^ Am definitely gonna try to add dry orange slices for colour! 🧡

  87. R.... M....

I mean I want Kelsey too when its a video. It is not the Sorry Girls without the both of you.

  88. R.... M....

Where's Kelsey? She is not in the video and I miss her.

  89. s.... *....

My family has always saved gift bags and boxes for reuse 😅 Is it weird to get the same bag my sister got for her birthday present? Yes. But does it save the planet and reduce consumerism? Also yes 🐸

I have bought gift paper once, 5 years ago, when I left home..after that, as I learned from my mother, I have always kept EVERY paper of ANY gift I received..and reused it XD Just been my birthday gift from my parents, the paper was the same I myself bought 5 years ago to wrap my dad Christmas gift 😂 just don't trow away the gift's paper, it will be perfectly good for at least 10 more gifts 👌

I give gifts in bags with tissue paper. After the recipient has opened the gift and we've hung out for a few I ask, "Would you like to reuse the bag and paper or shall I?" Either they say they will or I fold it up and take it back home. If I can't retrieve the bag, i.e. if I leave a gift for someone or mail it, I use a plain brown paper bag I saved from takeout with recyclable plain white packing paper, or wrap it in brown packing paper I save from my roommate's Amazon habit with biodegradable twine, and in either case add a little PS to my note asking them to recycle it.

I also like making wrapping paper stamps with plant-based paint on stamps I made by cutting shapes into styrofoam saved from my roommate's Amazon habit, or by stamping an empty round container from the recycling to make a pattern of circles.

I have also found nice square scarves of every color, pattern, size, etc at thrift stores for $1-5. It's not expensive to have a small collection of them for gifts.
Also, in my experience, teachers and professors have always gotten a kick out of getting their small holiday treat (peppermint bark, cookies, whatever) wrapped in the used pages of workbooks that obviously can't be donated!

Biodegradable still depletes natural resources. We need trees babe. We need them.

Love the decoration with oranges! Watched a Swedish x-mas show called "Jul med Ernst" the other day (Ernst is a well known crafter in Sweden) and he did beautiful roses out of clementine skin!

Loved this, got some great ideas to use. This really needs to be addressed rather sooner than later and I love your spin on it❤

Great ideas. You can also save and reuse the wrapping paper and bags from last year. You can make the gift bags from old magazines or your old gift paper.

This year I saved oatmeal cylinder cardboard containers from Quaker Oats. They are sturdy and you can decorate them. I plan to use it year after year. I also decided to put many gifts in stockings, and cookie tins.
