Cream - Sleepy Time Time Lyrics

I'm a sleepy time baby, a sleepy time boy.
Work only maybe, life is a joy.

We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
Sleepy time time.
Sleepy time time all the time.

Asleep in the daytime, asleep at night.
Life is all playtime; working ain't right.

We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
Sleepy time time.
Sleepy time time all the time.

I have my Sunday, that ain't no lie.
But on Monday morning comes my favorite try.

We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
We'll have a sleepy time time.
Sleepy time time.
Sleepy time time all the time.

Cream Sleepy Time Time Comments
  1. G.... P....

    3:20 Eric looks at Jack
3:53 Jack opens a broad smile
Both signify a recall of something common between the current moment and their past performances.

  2. G.... P....

  19. e.... i....

It's a real shame this band didn't stay together longer.

    e.... i....

True, but at least they made all their 3 minute songs 8+ minutes live ;)

  20. T.... T....

So good to see the relaxation and obvious enjoyment. Simply the best!

  21. P.... C....

Jack and Eric are wonderful and ginger couldn't play for shit.

  22. w.... d....

wonder what it cost to modify erics strat?

  23. A.... A....

Oh man Eric that solo... you still have it in you man!

  24. A.... A....

    "Life is a joint" xd

  30. .... ....

    Legends.

  31. A.... S....

THIS IS AMAZING!!! I can't believe they still sounded like thins in 2005! just like in 67'!

  32. M.... M....

    slow hand

  33. w.... j....

does it get any better? not imo! I saw these boys in Seattle 1967. I will forever judge bands to Cream standards.

  34. O.... L....

Clapton es mi pastor, nada me faltará.

  35. C.... Y....

The same faces, the same smiles. Just like on old days.

  36. L.... F....

    The best...the very best!

  37. J.... J....

Jack Bruce the ultimate bass and voice

  38. J.... J....

Clapton should have used a Gibson and a fucking stack and played loud as balls

  39. G.... M....

I just love the sound of Baker's kit... tuned very nicely

    G.... M....

    Maple shells, perfectly tuned.

  40. J.... F....

3:52 is like a rocket launching, followed by a moment of completely free motion in space, until 4:00 the warp drive is activated

  41. R.... R....

3:22 clapton looks over at Bruce thinking "how good am i"

  42. J.... ....

I had when people say EC "clapped out" he was bored of the virtuosity but all that time he still got it..I love Eric's music no matter what age he is, his music aged well. I also don't mind the strat on Cream stuff it sounds good (not as good as the gibson's of course). It's like if Buddy Guy were in Cream

    J.... ....

Indeed! It was when Eric first saw Buddy Guy that he got the idea of a blues trio, in fact. I agree about the Strat being fine, and if we want some sick solos with the ES-335, there's always https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIU7GZ_yLhI

  43. D.... D....

I love right around 3:55 when Eric starts playing like he's just real pissed off. That's the Eric Clapton i love that makes me put it on rewind about 25 times.

    D.... D....

Nevermind i just discovered it.Thanks Jasper!

    D.... D....

Oops i was wrong.I thought i was hitting the 5 second back arrow but i was just using the back arrow to go back to the beginning of song.So ignore the above "nevermind message".

    D.... D....

It’s only the pentatonic scale ! He always uses it ! Think he only knows that one.

    D.... D....

@Danny Dine press left or right on the arrows on your keyboard... hope this helps, even though its 1 year late!

    D.... D....

    @Wiley Wallaby Thanks Wiley!

  44. J.... W....

Their voices are complimentary. It was such a rare and wonderful combination. Makes one believe in magic.

  45. m.... v....

    GREAT forever, what else

  46. D.... L....

I mentioned on another vid.How anyone can think that Hendrix was a better guitarist than Clapton, I will never know.He is just the greatest blues guitarist I have ever heard. And I have heard them all.I have their LPs,CDs,and EC is just the greatest ever.IMHO.

    D.... L....

lol hes my fav too.. but the original comment said hes the greatest which is bullshit.

    D.... L....

@Bob BobOk I agree then, we may never know who the greatest ever is but we all have our opinions.

    D.... L....

@Bob Bob couldn't agree with you more 👍

    D.... L....

@Bob Bob Agreed. Gary Moore was amazing and so was Otis Rush. I really like EC too, but I do not think he is the best.. As a side. If you have not seen the video with Gary Moore & B.B. King playing, The Thrill is gone, I would recommend you listen to it. It is astonishing. Go Well

    D.... L....

He's ye favourite but he's not the greatest haha sounds weird so he's not ye favourite ye tit.

  47. m.... v....

    CREAM forever

  48. m.... v....

    CREAM is TURBO BLUES

  49. m.... v....

GREAT it's a bit of my life.

  50. j.... ....

I like how eric saves his momentum throughout the beginning of the song so he can later build up the song - he has definitely become a better player throughout the years and serves the song.

  51. G.... M....

Why did they play together for only 2 years?
Best POWER TRIO in the history of music.
    Eric Clapton is indeed God.
They've got the feeling and powerful energy on stage..OMG
CREAM FOREVER IN MY HEART \oo/

    G.... M....

Drugs and egos, in a nutshell

    G.... M....

And Yes, they are truly the 3 Best players of their time, and perhaps of All Time

  52. m.... ....

    Power Trio...one of my favorites

  53. t.... g....

that lick from 3:25-3:30! floors me! nobody bends notes like clapton!

  54. P.... C....

Jack Bruce...great voice and bass, EC...great guitar and vocals, Baker...boring, stiff drummer. It all worked though.

    P.... C....

Paul Cadogan blues aint about drums

  55. G.... T....

    wowwwww.........

  56. R.... A....

Best shit ever... I wish there was a 60's live version of this too.

    R.... A....

Richard Alpert - there is a 60’s live version of this and it contains one of the most perfect blues guitar solos I’ve ever heard. Look for Live Cream volume 1, it’s not a bootleg but a genuine Cream album released a year or two after Cream disbanded. There is an absolute killer version of NSU on it as well.

  57. j.... r....

    cuanta clase tienes eric clapton

  58. L.... C....

    valla que eres grande Clapton..

  59. S.... V....

    Rocks My Boat! :)

  60. g.... ....

aye jack gives Eric the nod. Challenge anyone to play this!!!

  61. J.... L....

I own this DVD and I'm so disappointed in the visual quality of the production. Tons of out of focus shots, jittery hand held crap, painfully long shots from behind the group, etc. I used to shoot live, multi-camera music shows so I know a little about how it should work. The visual garbage here distracts from the greatness of the concert, which is a shame.

    J.... L....

Jackie Long better than the farewell concert.

  62. T.... ....

When Jack smiles at Eric in the solo......he knows........

    T.... ....

    sleepy time?

  63. M.... V....

    Hell yeah!!!

  64. J.... O....

    oh yeah

  65. D.... D....

Great playing by slowhand but gingers doing quite swell as well

  66. C.... E....

    mt foda <3 great song

  67. r.... g....

One of the greatest groups in Rock and Roll history ... how do you not love this shit ?

  68. b.... D....

these f,,,,,adds about social security sucks they don't go away . darn lawyers , snakes . etc

    A.... S....

Haha, somehow your comment really cracks me up! Thanks mate!

  71. p.... s....

    these are mine,lolall time favs

  72. S.... L....

amazing that these guys kept their voices after so many many years.

  73. b.... ....

nice super jackbrrrrrrr and clapy!!holy crap thats muisic!!!!!

  74. C.... ....

    Great solo from EC.

    C.... ....

R.I.P. Jack wished I could of seen you once in my lifetime great upload thank you ! :)

  77. J.... V....

that strat doesn't sound very cream,,,, so thin.

    J.... V....

@Jorge Viramontes Everything sounds like Cream when Clapton is playing.

    J.... V....

Jorge Viramontes are u not hearing ginger baker?

    J.... V....

    I like it.

    J.... V....

I love the reunion but I would have prefered if Eric had used a Gibson...

    J.... V....

At his age it is probably too heavy for him, strats are light

  78. J.... P....

Can you imagine being there ? Wow!

  79. s.... ....

God bless these rock icons including (recent passings) 3 of my favorites: Alvin Lee, Johnny Winter, and Jack Bruce. The amount of musical pleasure I have been given...not to be measured...up to the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Heaven." RIP...all of you! Thank you and us fans love you!

  80. w.... ....

Damn - I miss you Jack.

  81. V.... G....

Noubady can take Jack*s place in my heart

  82. N.... L....

    RIP Jack Bruce

    N.... L....

Juuuust when you start to wrap your head around what a great and fluid improvisational bassist he was, you realize he was singing his ass off too... and that his vibrato wails were a rare style in Cream’s day that would dominate heavy music for the following decade. One of the true all-time greats.

  83. J.... H....

    RIP Jack....sleepy time time

  84. J.... G....

Jack Bruce's voice is still amazing, fantastic combination with Eric which of course is one of the greatest singers of blues ever. Ginger on drums as usual impeccable. I'm a big fan of the Gibson bass. One of the greatest 3 piece bands ever.

    J.... G....

+wolfkarel   I'd like to inform you that McCartney's Hofner 500/1 model was introduced in 1956. Gibson's EB-0 was first made in 1959. Go to Wikipedia to see for yourself. Obviously, you have your facts crossed and incorrect...Mr. know-it-all!

    J.... G....

+sunking2001 Good, you've verified his information. More people should do that as a reflex nowadays.

    J.... G....

+sunking2001 and also the model that jack bruce was using in this particular performance is called EB-1. The EB-0 was letter introduced

    J.... G....

I've heard a few people talking about the DVD saying Jack Bruce's voice sucked on it and i'm thinking what the hell are you talking about.I think his voice sounded just as good as it ever did for sure.

    J.... G....

´One of the greatest 3 piece bands ever.´ There is or was one better?

  85. f.... ....

    Fuckin rock & roll man!

  86. Y.... R....

Eric was 1000 watts of energy short of a Hendrix kind of solo!..EC was here! WOW!

  87. T.... L....

Holy Jumping! Sleeply time...-wonder if they were having flashbacks to being wrapped-up in a warm Blanket, like back in the good/bad old days? I did!

  88. K.... J....

    Claptons best tone

  89. C.... ....

I just learned how to play this on guitar

  90. 3.... 1....

As well as Ginger Baker =/

  91. P.... J....

why did this amazing band split so early?

    P.... J....

They could not get along, especially Jack and Ginger

  92. p.... ....

Don't get me wrong this is awesome, but they sounded way better when Eric wasn't using a Strat and older Amps... I get that it is a lot cleaner but my favorite thing about cream was that Bruce's bass was so gritty and Clapton's guitar sound was tense with natural overdrive and his pickups so hot they almost caught flame (figuratively of course).

  93. P.... D....

el mejor power trio de todos los tiempos .

    P.... D....

....after "Peter, Paul and Mary".....dont compare, please!

  94. A.... C....

EC got a hot hand on this solo. And Ginger - how often does this happen - made a blatant mistake. In all a highlight of these shows.

    A.... C....

Huh? Ginger made a mistake? Where?

  95. E.... S....

i love the sound of jack's bass...and ginger's ride cymbal sounds amazing

  96. N.... B....

    Ugh must transcribe

  97. P.... G....

I feel like a failure as a bassist because I'd never heard of him until he returned for this set of shows. Much respect to him though. He's fantastic.

  98. H.... S....

    the only holy
music played by the best musicians for that and for ever - arousing great feeling

  99. o.... ....

    Best, Band.....Evereverrerrrerrerrrerrrer!!!!!!
