Cream - N.S.U Lyrics
Driving in my car, smoking my cigar,
The only time I'm happy's when I play my guitar.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
Singing in my yacht, what a lot I got,
Happiness is something that just cannot be bought.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
I've been in and I'm out, I've been up and down,
I don't want to go until I've been all around.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
What's it all about, anyone in doubt,
I don't want to go until I've found it all out.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.

Cream N.S.U Comments
Most other Bands couldnt create stuff like that in a studio... in their twentys
The vocals come in at such a weird place in this song but it works so well.
RIP Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce
I cannot believe my very small, very humble contribution here is for those who must know, and many ask... N.S.U. stands for non-specific urethritis. A bit of a laugh on a S.T.D. Eric contracted (like we didn’t)back in the day. Peace, Rocky
_Clapton_ was singing the high notes this time. Different!
Cooking in da kitchen
btw: Jack had a really nice shirt!
Three team players, who probably spent a lot of time to learn how to do it. It's amazing to see to what this cal lead, if you only take you and the others equal and worth to listen to in any second together
Oh yeeeaaaah!!!!
My face would be so intense during these drum fills, but I guess Ginger is just used to being so awesome.
No way John Bonham is better than Ginger.
goes trippy love it. goin offf... ginger breaks the git spell at 5:01 with some cymbal... then everybody's on.
Clapton needs an SG and Marshall stacks. That strat is so weak
God bless Cream!
Hahahaha those screams were so underwhelming
Clapton sang Layla for Christ sake. Sing ahhhhhh, ahhhhhhh, ahh in harmony with those other two guys on stage near you.
Damn Clapton, listen to the monitor, you’re only one of the greatest musicians ever, but in this company you’re just Eric Clapton on guitar, the third member of Cream. What does that mean? They are beyond beyond, and Clapton should treat them like like.
Great performance - this the real Cream
Clapton
Still god
They were not men.....they were supermen.....they were the Cream of Rock n Roll.....they will live forever.....
The smile on Ginger's face is priceless, he is this whole tune with his thunderous drumming! To me he'll never die. Luv u! Ginger
RIP Ginger Baker
Cream...always rises to the top!
Oct 6th... Ginger Baker
You were a good man.
Goodbye ginger thank you.
Gimger Bagerille, ja Jack Brucelle on jo soittopaikka muualla. Yksi parhaita bändejä, mun mielestä. Soittakaa siellä ylhäällä vaikka Wite Room, olitte timanttia.
Cream yeah 👊
Get well soon Mr. Baker, Healing Prayers
Get well soon Ginger ❤️😰
This was the greatest concert I ever had seen, and I had seen them all, from zep, the stones, the who, and countless others, by far the best ever. It took me 37 years to get my dream come true , a cream reunion. But it happened and it was worth the wait.
“,Ginger and me were playing Nanette Newman “Eric didn’t realise Jack Bruce What a band
I honestly don't understand your comment I know who Nanette Newman is but how she fits into this song?
callyharley In other words Jack Bruce was saying He and Ginger were playing jazz Eric later said he knew what they were doing but did he?
@John Healy Ah I understand I've seen Ginger saying both he & Jack thought Eric was a Jazz player but he simply never realised that's what he was doing? I suppose having the ability to player over & along with anything is Jazz even though in Eric's head he was still playing blues licks.
My favorite band.
I love their complicity at the beginning of the song😀
(Look at the absolute exaultation on EC's face, as he harmonizes with JB.)
From their first LP, "Fresh Cream," and it's never been one of my favorites from that LP...
...but watching how they recreate it here changes it entirely for me.
EC's "psychedelic" solo, goosed by what JB and GB are doing, is one of the most creative moments of his, in his playing life, that I have ever heard.
Incidentally, the melody, simple as it is, is extremely rhythmically clever because, just as in the original, JB is singing the first two bars of every phrase an eighth-note ahead of where you think the beat is.
(No wonder that first LP changed everything.)
I love this music
Jack bruce, fantastic bass player, if u wanna here a really good cd, get the jack bruce band. Hows tricks cd,
We can never tell who's the lead instrument
Got to see them on the "Wheels of Fire" tour while on Owsley's shit. Also got to see 2/3 of them on the "Blind Faith" tour !
Ginger SWINGS!
Hard to believe Ginger Baker will be 80 this year
Absolutely otherworldly!
There's no way that I'd be sat on my arse!!
Ginger knows exactly where the other two are going , regulated down like a fine bowl movement...fantastic drummer !
I would have loved to have been at that show!
Nice to see Jack and Ginger grinning towards each other.
@ 021.....Hell has froze over. Ginger Baker smiles at Jack Bruce. I love it.
I liked the version from Live Cream volume I better.
Damn this makes me happy!
I'm glad they were able to reunite for one last concert. Like they picked up right where they left off.
žasnem,,,ako CREAM ..vyzreli, vždy som miloval ich hudbu-no po dlhých rokoch sú ešte lepší..skrátka úžasný..
Perfect.
Only time I'm happy 's when I play my guitar............
....or me drooms...
Man I saw these guys in 1968 . . . Here three guys who couldn’t get much tighter. This is what 1960s electrical blues was all about.
Only Baker would wear his own band's shirt to a reunion show! What a legend!
Never heard anything so boring.
Jack rules!!! Best bass ever!!! Ginger and Eric aren't bad either.
Greatest ever,, period!
good to see at 5:06 hard to stay away from zz sound even baker was wondering what was happening all turned to the bass for comfort..lol
Cannot imagine having been there
F'n Old Geezers ROCK the SHIT out of IT ... !!!
Thank you CREAM..RIP Jack
Ohhh did I hear the woman tone ?
The best trio to grace that stage, hands down.
I agree with you, Hendrix experience was a copy of them. Best group ever, greatest concert I ever saw
I used to think this was fantastic back in the day, but these days it just leaves me cold I'm afraid.
Ginger was a freight train on this. They all great!
Amazing how they managed to pull this song off at their age. Wtf
one of my favs :)
So sad the Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker had to have spats. I was a Cream fan back in the early 70's and thought I would NEVER see them play again. They did this series right square on their game and I'm happy I get to see it!
Remember their first gig at Wardour street AMAZING I then felt I was blessed. I had a pint with Eric and his mum at the Ship pub ...he was a wonderful person
..BLESS YOU ERIC SO IMPORTANT IN MY LIFE
@1AGRIPPINA
You were in the right place at the right time.
One of the best bands ever!!!
Jack Bruce one of the most influential rock bassists of all time R.I.P.
WoooooooW! Perfect playing,excellent & evergreen song!THANKS!♥️✌🎸🎸🎸🥁🎶💗👑♥️
By far the best of this set
Best Band ever! Jack Bruce Rip
The drumming in that song is amazing, the way Ginger hold the song together without taking over
ian mack ,, ginger is beyond amazing in this !!!
if you speed it up to 1.25.... it's just a tad faster then the original tempo but it carries the same energy as they had in 1966.
Greatest concert I ever saw, and I've seen them all, they frigging rocked night.
Love how they nail that short bar in the chorus. Smooth as silk. God rest you, Jack Bruce, and be well Eric and Ginger...
Every once in a while, I’ll come back to watch this video and be astounded again. I have the DVD’s too.
BUT, where are the equivalent performers in our present generation? Please don’t suggest anyone in popular media.
Cream el mejor grupo de siempre Baker Bruce CLAPTON no hay nada más que decir Únicos...............
Ginger comes out at you like "BOOM BOOM BOOM" love it
bravó Lassú ! sala dr.
Did you blokes know that N.S.U. stands for "non-specific urethritis"? Commonly known as "the clap." Eric Clapp changed his name to Clapton to avoid the association with this dreadfully painful affliction. Btw, I saw Cream the first time around at the Anaheim Convention Center shortly before they broke up. It's great that they patched matters up to the point where they did the Royal Albert Hall performances.
Nonsense. The surname Clapton comes from Rose’s first husband and Patricia’s father, Reginald Cecil Clapton (d. 1933). By a weird coincidence, Eric's mother subsequently married a man named Clapp but Eric always went by his mother's name. Read it in his autobiog. It'#s all there and I have pasted a line from it.
Jack Bruce said that Clapton got the Clap aka gonorrhoea. If do a YouTube Search from the 1990's Jack Bruce talks about it and plays the song with Gary Moore and
4:24 Hell yeah fucking Ginger Baker!!!
I've been using that dissonant bit at 3:12 for years but never knew where I got it from. Figures I ripped off Clappy.
THIS IS GREAT. i Prefer studio version though
Ginger rule's!
even though they hated each other ...they got together to entertain......
just so good!
Ginger was the star on that song for sure! Amazing musicians to say the very least!
Jack looks like being in despair...
jack bruce was amazing,
Excellent version of this ditty, but as an alternative check out the version with Gary Moore on guitar at the Deutsche Rockpalast, quite a different and very pleasing interpretation. I enjoy the higher voicing on the initial bars and the lightning fast guitar work of Moore. Must see music: .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0esLF_z8qg&t=432s
Best performance of the concert.
i wish eric had used his gibson ES335...i was not crazy about the tone on this black strat...a bit too dirty sounding
This is a rock show, right? Yet the whole crowd's sitting on their keisters!
the best live band ever
Makes drum machines look silly, doesn't it? Mind you, Clapton's solo was a wee bit dross. Loved it to death, though!
That groove by Eric from 3:51 to 4:30 is out of this world.
"Eric Clapton on the guitar, yeah" :D
When Eric Clapton is the musical weak link in your band, you have one HELL of a band.
Just because there is snow on the roof doesn't mean there isn't fire in the belly! Cream proves it decades later.
Dig you
