Cray, Robert - One In The Middle Lyrics
Sometimes at night
When I close my eyes
I see three women
All standing in a line
She took my heart
The one on the right
Said she wanted to be free
But the one in the middle
I still love her and I wonder
Does she ever think of me?
In my mind
I've been to a thousand places
I stare into a thousand faces
The flame of love
Once shined so brightly
Now it's just
A slow burning memory
But the one in the middle
I still love her, oh, and I wonder
Does she ever think of me?
Maybe, she wouldn't even care
No, that's okay
It's all in a dream
It's all in a dream, anyway
But the one in the middle
Oh, I still love her and I wonder
Does she ever think of me?
But the one in the middle
Oh, I still love her and I wonder
Does she ever think of me?

Well Sweet potato pie......
Young Bob...and a Hammond...what's not to love!??🌟
A perfect song
Pure Blues!!
Thank you Eric Clapton for my first introduction to Robert Crays music to my ears!
Killer tunes!
Super organ and Cray!!
What a clarion voice, this is blues at its best
Why is the video so narrow? I had a similar effect some time ago, when I was recording on a video cam. Are there ways to stretch thevideo to "normal" aspect ratio?
Pure craftmanship..
nagyon jó a kiséret, az orgona szóló király...
Bahh o velhinho matou a pau no órgão Hammond, fechou esse blues como um mestre !!
Saw him a few years ago in Sioux City iowa. I went to listen to his guitar and walked away amazed by his super cool voice. God bless Robert Cray!!!!
Richard Cousins on bass,Pugh keyboards, they sound awesome,,this song is so memorable, and soulful tone of Cray carrys the words so nice.
Pugh Hammond is all in that organ, he's in charge wow love it
What a voice ! His voice reminds me of a cross between Ray Charles and Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave).
Utterly stunning... he leaves you spell bound!!
I'm told that is a Bill Beer Hammond, great sound!
The spirits got him! beautiful
That is the best organ solo I've ever seen in my life. I still shaking and in tears after watching that.
Lee Syrjanen he is awesome
That organ player is awesome!
Live they sound exactly the same!
Robert Cray and his band are amazing. Saw them at the Belly Up in Solana Beach on Dec. 4th and they ripped. Checkout my videos from the show at smoothtubeforyou
Saw Robert Cray band on Saturday and they did Not play this song :-( ...I believe it was because Jim was shaking his right hand after every song..the keyboard player and being featured in this song, woulda caused him some serious pain. My loss, but can't say a bad thing, cuz everything was FABULOUS and live is better...
they're having some fun now!
i wish rc might join w/ dave mason who sings gloriously at 70 (or older?) and i'd pay big bucks for a show like that. bobby keys inglorious bastards would be golden w/ cray too. the keys are neat but personnel isn't listed up top. i like the keyboard player to.
i barely know modern blues like rc but the more i hear the xtra special it seems
Gorgeous xo
Just love Robert Cray.
Never heard this live. Such a great song.
F me...awesome stuff!
Amazing player. Very under-rated. But, he's won tons of Grammys and doesn't apologize. Keeps on going and getting better with age.
The better he gets, the less people listen to him. If God posted a YouTube video, say of Himself playing the guitar, I think it would have maybe 6 hits and 4 likes. Fuck me.
Cray is the man it's sad very few people know about him
aumkar chandan glad as hell I am. Heard about him from a friend way back when Clapton's album August came out! Clapton helped him tremendously!
Chistmas 2012, and life's no different!
Great Tune ! Quality
WOW and DOUBLE WOW for the organ player. That is AWESOME!!!
just saw them 2 nights ago at ottawa jazz fest absolutely amazing thanks robert ,bass, drums ,keys amazing
This album is Cray's best! Every song is perfect.
Pugh's Hammond is a custom built Portabilization of an authentic B3 done by the late Bill Beer of Keyboard Products who did organs for Santana, Fleetwood Mac and others. Sadly, Bill died in the mid 1990's. The Leslie Speaker is also one that Bill high powered with custom amp and JBL speakers. Bob Schleicher of Electronic Instrument Services in Oakland now builds a similar B3 chop as they are called. Bob maintains Santana's Beer chop.
What Key Board is this, sounds like a B3 or M3 . Great Stuff. Thanks, We will be seeing Robert perform this Friday. It will be fun and a great pleasure. Thanks for your post.
This is, definitely, a big Hammond organ, a console from the B3 "family"; not a small M3 spinet. Since this organ was obviously chopped (customised), and put into a portable case, it is impossible to tell if it was a former B3, C3, A100, RT3 or D100. All of these organ models are basically the same instrument with a different case, and that's why they're generically called 'B3s'. Cheers!
this shit is fine. Drummer really good.Bass yeah. Keys big. Mmmm.
