Cray, Robert - Change Of Heart, Change Of Mind (S.O.F.T.) Lyrics
Same old funky thing
This time around, babe
You done messes up my groove
You came through like a hurricane
Could have had a change of mind
And it seems it's impossible
True love's so hard to find
You keep telling me
That I'm wasting time, babe
You keep telling me
You've got another on the line, babe
Could you have a change of heart
And it seems it's impossible
True love's so hard to find
But what I like about 'cha
Is hard to describe about 'cha
You've always been
Much more than a friend
Ohh, and I'd hate to lose you to some one else
Ohh, please, please, please
Can we try it again?
You must know how hard
A heartache is for me, babe
But you keep on with that same old funky thing, babe
Could have had a change of heart
Could have had a change of mind
And it seems it's impossible
True love's so hard to find
Same old funky thing
This time again, babe
You really messed up my groove
Same old funky thing, babe
But if you put love in your pocket
And hold on to it
Snap up the buttons
So you won't lose it
It won't seem so impossible
True lose is what you'll find
Could have had a change of heart
Could have had a change of mind
It won't seem so impossible
True love is what you'll find
Oh, it won't be so hard
To find a good thing, yes you will
Ohhh, I know if you try
If you try
If you try, try, try
Same old funky thing, babe
It's the same old funky thing, babe
Same old funky thing

Cray, Robert Change Of Heart, Change Of Mind (S.O.F.T.) Comments
Ahhh man, Mr Repunzll... thanks so so much. This song hooked me around '89 and I held on to those lyrics as a young romantic looking for true love - that it was out there, somewhere. The way Robert Cray just sincerely deals that song just gives some real hope. Your video is excellent - tops. Keep up the good work !
@Philip Jones :-)
(Oh, and no apologies necessary. For some reason people on YouTube often asume I'm a dude; apparently it's not so obvious my nick is a play on 'rapunzel' :-) )
@Rapunzzl Any other videos? 😊
@Philip Jones Not for Robert Cray songs, I'm afraid. But you can find the rest of my stuff via https://www.youtube.com/user/rapunzzl/videos
@Rapunzzl I remember being hooked on that particular song in my early 20's after having a break up but at the time being not too fussed about the rest of the album 'False accusations". The lyric about 'being much more than a friend' etc seemed to evoke a situation where although it's been platonic so far I don't want to be without that person, always want them in my life etc - true love (?). Anyway, anyway may I ask what did the song mean for you ? Your imagery is so imaginatively flowing, sweet and on point. Was it something to dance to ?
@Philip Jones Ah, that's touching. I hope you found or will find true love!
Thanks for your compliment on my imagery!
I don't think I've ever danced to Robert Cray. Started listening to him in the eighties and bought several of his albums. I liked this song mostly for the expression 's.o.f.t.', and it definitely had to be the first song of Robert Cray I made a video for. (And I got stuck finding images for other Robert Cray songs.)
This is an AWESOME song. Robert Cray oozes vocal coolness singing this one.
Quite brilliant. Well, of course the record is, but your video is clever and very appropriate. Well done that person.
Wow, this is one of the best compliments I've gotten so far, thanks! And it takes a clever person to appreciate cleverness in a video :-)
Thans from a female Dutch person
Uhm, I presume you're adressing Robert Cray, not me?
In which case: I can't know if he ever sees this
its is so awesome I truly know that you believe in love and you have it con grats!!! on every thing and blessings with all you all do!!!!
Great song and very well done and entertaining video. This artist's voice is so reminiscent of Otis Reading! Thumbs up! :-) Sandy
Yeah, that's been happening to me recently. I think it's a YT or Google glitch. Thanks for unspamming it. :) I have great appreciation for your talent and creativity. :)
Nice rhythmic song - I'm not familiar with this artist, but I like this! As always, your slideshow is fascinating...I don't know how you find all these unique photos, but the compilation with your lyric inserts is really fun to watch. I enjoy your insight and arch sense of humor. :) xo
