Every time I hear this, I can picture everything he's singing in the literal sense: A calm quiet place with a temperature not warm or cold, a gentle nurse, clean white sheets, a nice sniff of whiskey, and a short dose of an opiate. The song makes me sleepy every time. I still have the CD I bought when the album came out... ugh... 25 years ago.
I remember when I was a teenager I heard low on the radio and I bought the album and everybody made fun of me they said it sucked but it turns out almost every song on that album was a gem
