Deborah and Tamia never really had great songwriters like Whitney, Toni and Mariah. So they never really had a chance to blow. There music was so inconsistent. This song doesn't fit her or compliment her voice. I think her song choices killed her career. Montell Jordan elevated her career. You would think she would have stuck with him.

I understand where you guys are coming from, but Deborah and Whitney were close, even did a duet. They were both signed/reared by Clive Davis. So I get the comparisons. And vocally, Deborah sounds the closest thing to Whitney. Especially on this song. This is the first time I heard Deb sound a lot like her on a song. So in this instance, it's not a bad thing. It could've been somebody who was totally undeserving of that comparison.
