Magical album.
Hooked since seeing Monterey pop film aged 16.
Thought I'd long missed it but was overjoyed to see them in Glasgow in 2004 sounding the same and looking very similar and having a beer with them afterwards.

Ultimate spinach ripped that part off for one of their songs.
I was the first to get this lol blew my friend’s minds with it. The most psychedelic!!
I grew up on this album in the 60's. My oldest brother was in the Air Force.
Joe McDonald is a incredible poet and the music and arrangements of the band are incredible, you can just drift away.
Every time I hear this song I think of a song from Caravan's In the Land of Grey and Pink ("Winter Wine" I think). Anyone else think the two songs sound similar? At least the very first part makes me draw a comparison.
Ultimate Spinach Baraque #1 sounds very similar also
When I first heard this song, I assumed it was Caravan - until the singing started. The keyboard style is exactly like Caravan, but Country Joe's band did it first.
Growin' up is a trip ;)
Happy birthday to Country Joe-he wrote this.
for some reason, that is one of my favorite guitar solos. I just love it
Happy birthday to Barry"The Fish"Melton today!!!!
Wow!...If I had dated other people does that mean I'm dated?
We used to hear this on Tom Donahue's[R.I.P.] program on KMPX in San Francisco in 1967.One of the best albums from this time period.
