Counting Crows - Catapult Lyrics
All of the sudden she disappears
just yesterday she was here
somebody tell me if I am sleeping
someone should be with me here
(cause I don't wanna be alone)
I wanna be the knife that cuts into my hand
and I wanna be scattered from here in this catapult
What a big baby won't somebody save me please
You won't find nobody home
all of these quiet battered voices
wait for the hunger to come
we got little revolvers and stupid choices
and no one to say when we're done
(Well I don't wanna bring you down)
I wanna be the light that burns out your eyes
`cause I know there's little things about me
that would sing in the silence of so much rejection
in every connection I make
I can't find nobody home
I wanna be the last thing you hear when you're falling asleep....

One of the best albums to get stoned to of all time
I still argue this is a top 3 "sophomore" album of any 90s act. "So much rejection in every connection" being a connecting line to the slow/fast is so well done.
who hasnt had it happen to them? poignant and deep..
The person that disliked this had a cow shot at them from a catapult. (Monty Python reference)
Be careful or they will fart in your general direction and taunt you a second time ;)
I have love d the sounds you make with the band and your voice that I have got to hear it a lot just me .
oh how I love this song.
one of my favorites..beautiful song
This song runs the gamut of emotions experienced when you realize that she is gone...for good. Adam Duritz is a genius, but it took a lot of heartache to earn the right to pen these lyrics.
Johnny Boone the price paid to speak and sing "for others".and we just know when we hear it, don't we? Because it's "there" or it isn't . It's the key of David.
Johnny Boone this was the time when artists wrote from the heart
