this has got to be one of the most dramatic nd emotional chord progressions nd effects combo I've heard. as soon as the guitar comes in at the beginning, you immediately get the exact tone of the song before any words are said.

So many bands describe pain on repeat and them screaming in a microphone to a crowd won't save anyone from death. there is fullness in Jesus only and I remember having a constant play of songs just like this. it never satisfies, because you still feel the void. Only Jesus can fill void in you not another's presence.

Beautiful song.But I always wondered who about is this song? Seems like failed relationship but then with last couple lines I feel like it's more about  like family member or close friend.

if I remember correctly when I saw them a couple months ago I'm pretty sure he made a little speech about it and it had something to do with one of his parents I think?? or his grandfather or uncle.. I can't quite remember tbh

The lyrics are full of hints that supports your theory. "I will forever be a slave to your distance", "I'll always be numb on MY SIDE OF THE EARTH" and so on.
But also you see the suffering that brings for Brendan being in that kind of relationship. "Don't let me in, don't let me go" shows you the duality of what a painful love can be. That also sums up the title for the entire record: Tragedy Will Find Us. This is shakespearean.

I found this band just 15 min ago, listened to some songs...
and let me tell you, this is the fastest that I went from 'oohh, what's this' to 'this is the best band that I heard in years, jesus....'

Guys... you seriously need to play this more live i just saw y'all in denver live. this is such a powerful song, instrumentally, vocally, all around. i piss my gf off so much when i play this because i go the fuck in.

The 2nd "Don't let me in, don't let me go" later on made me tear up. It's so powerful, and the music just makes it so much better.

Thought the lyrics were "make sure that I still fail. I don't care how much it hurts", and then I saw the lyrics in the description . But then I also gave myself a mind fuck because that would also be a perfect replacement line for the song.

Burn had me waiting impatiently, this is fucking amazing.

Album isn't better than "The Difference..." but it's a damn good follow-up. This band never fucks up.

@Charlie's Drum Corner personally, i feel like this is their best project to date but everybody has their own opinion.

@Charlie's Drum Corner well i think it's too soon to tell something, you know, every album evolves as we keep listening it, for me it was the same thing with TDBH&H and TCWCU, in the begining you aren't that related with the album, but as you repeat it, it will find a spot in you.... i can't decide wich is my favorite counterparts album, but man, this one sounds awesome. and i don't even think that they need to be compared. i love this band

@Charlie's Drum Corner I found them on TDBHH, but I say this is the most updated version of what they wanted to be be with their style and be better at it. TDBHH was a good record the same as TCWCU, but this is their best material thus far.
