While I love Counterparts, this video rubs me the wrong way.
This band is among the best modern hardcore bands, and yet the video is a joke. While I feel that it is important to have a good time and joke around with your band mates, (and in most cases, your best friends,) this video is not serious at all.
"PUT A FUCKING BULLET IN MY HEAD," is a super discernible lyric in this song, and yet the visuals depict them in what seems as though they are at a Halloween party singing karaoke.

I have, "You are your own memorial, find your mark and make it," tattooed on my arm from their song, "Soil." Their lyrics and music mean a lot to me; I hope this video is an outlier in what has traditionally been an anthology of genuine, melodic hardcore.

Give your fuckin balls a tug bud.

Wish there was a way I could have a small portion of their talent and write atleast one good song

Naw man. A lot of people live feeling this way but the idea of suicide doesn't really appeal to them. Some might say that you're just too scared to off yourself but it's my opinion that suicide is a coward's death even if you're ready to/want to die. Facing the cruelty of the world head on is the only way to overcome the suffering and to one day realize that the tragedy of existence is just your own perception of the nature of an impartial world. Gotta find peace within the chaos. Find peace within yourself.

Knocked loose and counterparts are both the top bands in hardcore imo

Counterparts is emo and knocked loose is metalcore. Both are good bands but don't lump them together.

Every knocked loose song is the same and the singer sounds like Mickey Mouse... only reason kids like them is because they have a breakdown every 5 seconds
