I love the fact she made this her own and I still got a chill! This is one of my favorite songs and she did just a wonder job! Not to much and Not to little, just enough to make it her and still make Mrs. Celine proud!

@IXIScarecrowIXI Hey I'm not knocking Shannon, I'm a huge fan. I have all of his albums, and I've seen him live 6 times. My point was, that I believe Cosima would have given Guy a huge run for his money. Guy, in my opinion, was unstoppable that year, particularly after he sang climb every mountain.

Shannon is very successful, and has outsold Guy (I imagine, but don't know), however, both Guy & Cosima, had better voices (technically) doesn't mean that I don't like Shannon.

Shannon Noll sounded like a bleating sheep when he sang. He never should have got down that far in the competition. Some really good people were voted out first and shouldn't have been.

of all the contestants in australian idol 1, cosima has the biggest voice. her voice is like country/rock. she has no problem in singing big songs because she has big voice. but she look and sounded old. sebastian on the otherhand, looks and sounds refreshing.

this is outstanding surprised this performance didnt get her in the top 12, but Predictable was superior! I feel Cosima and Guy would have been the match up of my dreams just like AI should have Tamyra vs Kelly....But I want her to cross over to the States!!!

She CAN sing, but even if she didn't pull out of the comp (paving the way for Noll) Sebastian STILL would have won.He is more diverse & can sing anything.
I wish she wasn't in this series of idol. If ONLY she had of held back just one year..she would have won.IMO NO-ONE could have stopped Guy from winning this year, BUT, Cosimo would have given Guy Sebasition a run for his money than Noll EVER could. Don''t get me wrong, I think Noll is good, but he is not of the same calibre as them.

It was revealed after the comp that Cosima came second in the votes. Shannon came third and would have left if Cosima had stayed, but I do agree, Guy would have won no matter who was second.

she did a really good job of this song... its different from celine's version. celine's version was more gentle/soft while cosima was more stronger and powerful. both great in their own right. mark holden was right for once, her voice was the best out of that competition - a pity she couldnt win though - all that affro dude sings is pop, cuz thats all he can sing, unlike timeless classics...

Cosima's voice was never 100% from the start. From this point on she had laryngitis and then developed nodules (is that the correct word) on her vocal chords so her voice as always off throughout the whole competition. She never got to show her true vocal talent which is why her debut album reviewers were shocked by how good she is and weren't expecting her to be so good. I remember the first review I read and the woman wrote "Her dedicated fans swore by her vocal talent from the start, to which I never agreed with. I do now though. Cosima shows she can more than sing...she is a real competitor and could make it in America".
Then when she did her mini tour in music shops which were filmed for the national news she was amazing. The Australian critics ate her voice up.
It wasn't until after the show and she went solo that we heard her real voice and it's powerful as F@#K.
She sang this song during the Idol tour and at her small concerts and tore the roof off.
The only time we heard her true voice in full affect was only twice. Her audition of "I surrender" and then her next performance when deciding on the top 40 and she sang "Call the man". Only "Call the man" was shown on TV (they didn't show her audition until she was top 3 and they had an hour special on the top 3 and showed each audition) but only her singing the chorus which is a shame. After that she got sick so the public really missed out on what she could have done with each performance because of what was going on vocally.
If she was 100% her live performances would have been even better. She was 27 here in her vocal prime. Such a shame she wasn't able to give her full voice during the show.
