God's love is strong !! 2 years ago I came 4 hours from death due to a massive brain tumor that caused damage to my brain, I know have a vp shunt implant in my skull but I returned to work , see my son play baseball, daughter do crafts, wife do her hair etc. All because of Jesus !! Doctors looked at me in disbelief that I can walk , talk and function like before and even better than before. Memory intact like never before, even remember phone number and address of places we lived as a 6 year old. Now 40 blessed by THE BEST in tears as I write this. And yes I have brain damage and no one I tell notices, I have a very mentally challenging job in the USPS and haven't missed a beat. GOD IS SO AMAZING !! Share the good news ! God bless you all

Please do not get hung up on the fact that the name of our Lord is not mentioned in the song. The heart of the song is that Cory is praising God in a personal way. The heart is in the right place for Corey's worship. He is focusing on the relationship that he has with God. Much like David and God.

Wonderful lyrics. Asbury is an amazing lyricist. Don't understand why there are dislikes on this video 😕

Well, I, for one, just downvoted on account of the chorus being one repeated line. I realize that repetition may indeed be legitimate writing, but I grew up with country music*, where lyrics were a big deal (verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, verse, chorus; the only thing repeated is the chorus, and it's at least a good four lines, not just one line repeated four times), and every time I hear a song where it's just repeated, I feel like the lyricist kinda ran out of juice that day.

*When I bridged into rock, I found that they could be light on lyrics but big on instrumentation, which took a bit of mental adjusting. But I started with lyrics-heavy songs that told stories and evoked emotions, so my perspective always starts from there -- hence why low-lyric music bugs me, unless it's specifically dance/trance kinda stuff, where the repetition is meant to help you zone out.

(Later on, I also studied rap lyrics, and found a freeflowing rhythm, use of assonance and consonance, and, in general, a much higher and more developed sense of poetry than any other music genre I've yet to run across... although I still haven't found rap songs that I enjoy enough to put into my regular listening.)
