Conway Twitty - Little Girl Cried Lyrics

And a little cried cause a little boy lied
The vows that he made he broke and betrayed
And her little heart broke cause the words that he spoke
Were just tenrder lies and a little girld cried

She was too young to know that he'd soon hurt her so
So she gave him her heart never dreamed they would part
Now it's over and done he's had all his fun
He just told her goodbye and a little girl cried

She was too young to know...

Times sure have changed . I remember going to Bootheel records or Peaches records with my dad and on 1 of our trips my dad bought this album on cassette tape . This song was just as good if not better then the others on the tape . Its funny but I still have a plastic bag of cassettes and I think it's still in the bag . This would of been bought in 1976 or 1977.
Great song - Country music sure has changed and not for the better .

    Never heard this
    one before. Con-
    way was REALLY
    "in voice" for this
    one! Truly one of
    the most beautiful
    voices of all time.

Yep! theses kind of Boys we have to keep Our Granddaughters away from.because if they make My Granddaughter cry,I would take real good care of that little boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry that I never thanked you for the link over to this song so I am thanking you now.  In 1970 My mother-in-law (future MIL at that time) had me listen to this record before I married her son.   :-)   I am happy to say she was wrong - nearly 50 years later here we are!!   :-)
