Connie Francis - My Buddy Lyrics

Life is a book that we study
Some of its leaves bring a sigh
There it was written by a buddy
That we must part, you and I

Nights are long since you went away
I think about you all through the day
My buddy, my buddy
Nobody quite so true

Miss your voice, the touch of your hand
Just long to know that you understand
My buddy, my buddy
Your buddy misses you

Miss your voice, the touch of your hand
Just long to know that you understand
My buddy, my buddy
Your buddy misses you

Your buddy misses you, yes I do

For you Mom! And, the Buddy you lost at such a young age from Cancer! It changed your life, for the worse. You went to your grave missing your Buddy.

A singular voice and style that cannot be duplicated, nor should it!

Shame she can't be appreciated for that - of course, she'll never qualify for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Sad she can't get any respect now because she wasn't controversial or overly sexual or didn't do drugs. Decades from now, will people forget about Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez ... even Madonna??

@Jean O'Boyle Apart from Madonna, I'm pleased to write that I haven't heard of the others. Re drugs : I believe that Connie innocently popped pills for years when she was young, given to her to keep her on her feet to meet her endless schedule. Connie writes that these became addictive and did her a lot of later damage.

    Makes you want to cry

What's wrong with that? It doesn't mean you're easily manipulated - it's just from having a heart.
