Connie Francis - Breaking In A Brand New Broken Heart Lyrics

If my friends should ask for me
Here at home is where I'll be
There's no one I care to see
I'm breakin' in a brand new broken heart.

Now the heartache has begun
There's a job that must be done
I'll have no time for havin' fun
I'm breakin' in a brand new broken heart.

Aw, leave me alone
And let me cry, cry, cry
There are tears that must be cried
Till there's no more tears inside.

Let me take a count of ten
Then I'll bounce right back again
Let me be alone till then
I'm breakin' in a brand new broken heart.

I'm breakin' in a brand new broken heart...

    What can I say.Beautiful

  2. m.... ....

This hit from Connie Francis went to #7 on the Top 40 charts. It went to #5 on the Cash Box charts, #2 in New Zealand, #7 in The Netherlands, #8 in Australia, and to #12 in the United Kingdom. It would finish at #80 for the year, 1961.

  3. J.... S....

Connie Francis was often played in the Weston arena in Toronto during our Saturday skating episodes, and as a 12 year kid I yearned for a girl, with such vulnerability. I found her in my wife, Hillie. I'm now 70 and still in love. Connie Francis helps me to express this in words.

  4. C.... J....

    Love every song she sings.

  5. R.... N....

I would like to see if they could do a biopic of her life. Since she recorded for MGM, which was later absorbed to Polydor which is now owned by Universal Music, that means Universal Pictures can get simply do movie rights of her life. But if they do a biopic of her life, here are the best actresses can play Connie Francis. It could be between Ariana Grande, Laura Marano, Lady Gaga, and Anna Kendrick. Connie herself can be the consultant, and executive producer as well, too. Possibly the narrator, and could make a cameo appearance in the movie.

  6. A.... T....

To the "musicians" of today.THIS is SINGING.

  7. J.... G....

If you suffer the dry-eye problem of old age, go back to playing every Connie Francis song you can find on Youtube. If there was ever a singer who could bring tears to your eyes, Connie was and is that singer. I loved Connie back in the day, and I love Connie today, 2019. There had been no one like her before, and there has been no one like her since. Connie Francis was and is the BEST!!!!

  8. P.... F....

She is angel love this song ,Breaking in a Brand new Breaking heart

  9. T.... C....

One of the female vocalists of all time. Grew up with her music all the time. One of my dads favorites.

  10. R.... ....

Amen . All the Jerks on that board , Should be FIRED.....

  11. R.... J....

56 yrs ago I was ten & i wrote & asked her to marry me Beautiful voice & very beautiful lady to say the least

  12. L.... B....

That sound the voice and all that looks .

  13. D.... B....

From 1957 to around 1964, Connie thrived. She recorded ballads and rock 'n roll, as well as recording in something like five different languages. Her contemporaries the late Patsy Cline and Brenda Lee are in the r'n r hall of shame, but she is not. Disgusting!

    D.... B....

    actually 14 languages.

  14. n.... b....

A gain please don't do that commercial or interrupt the music at I want really enjoy the music at all thanks you 😊😊

  15. N.... ....

I so want to find someone like her!!! Am I a dork for that?

    N.... ....

Norman...you'd be a dork if you didn't want a girl like Connie. I'm "straight," but Connie Francis could sing me to sleep anytime...and yes, I'd do her.

  16. O.... B....

I can’t stand multi-dubbing. A beautiful, high quality voice like hers doesn’t need that gimmick.

  17. B.... B....

    This is real music Great

  18. W.... S....

I thought the Everly Brothers did this also. Can't find it. Brenda Lee should've done this also.

  19. a.... b....

    I was just 15 in 1961'awesome song

  20. B.... S....

Connie's songs and voice makes you wish you could be 16 again, slow dancing with you favorite girl and falling in love.

  21. T.... C....

That song would have been a hit for the Everly Brothers

  22. S.... ....

Can't believe this was in 1961...seems only yesterday for this Connie Francis hit!

  23. B.... R....

awesome, just beautiful and we've all been there.

  24. T.... P....

What a beautiful voice perfection personified nobody to match her

  25. I.... ....

She should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

    I.... ....

WHAT'S THE REASON SHE ISN'T, OTHER THAN THE STUPIDITY OF THE HOF PEOPLE?

  26. D.... B....

    BEAUTIFUL SONG

  27. C.... T....

Beautiful , harmonizing with her self . Poor girl was attacked and raped in a motel room i 1974

  28. C.... T....

Absolutley fantastic , such a pure voice . Had a troubled later life

  29. I.... ....

she should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

  30. a.... b....

  32. A.... W....

    I simply love Connie Francis!!

  33. D.... P....

Go Connie, thank God for u tube that we can listen to our oldie golden, 😁

  34. J.... R....

She has not a voice. She has a careless, a kiss for the ears. Marvellous. The best and sweetest feminine voice.

  35. M.... R....

i am a 90's baby but adored this connie francis mania.

  36. J.... M....

Connie is a very gifted singer and she was beautiful too. Her voice is something special and she sang with such feeling and depth I really enjoy hearing her songs.

  37. G.... M....

P.S., i have not heard this song sing the 60's...on AM radio yet.  Anyway this is such great music.  Carry on.

  38. G.... M....

DITTO, and may i add , this is one of the most lovely songs i've ever heard.  Makes my heart ache, once again...  Anyway, music makes my heart beat and ,again, die.  Life is a bitch and can't be done over.  AAAGHGGHHH!!!....just sayin.

  39. S.... a....

why does luv have to be cruel?

  40. M.... O....

I was 14 years in 1961, when I heard this song for the very first time!
And now, 2017, the 1st of August, still one of her best recordings!
    The best female voice EVER!!
    God bless you, dear!

    M.... O....

    I was born in 1961
My Mother and sister brought me up singing Connie! She was the rage in my toddler years. Where the boys are was always humming from my lips! 🙂

  41. R.... P....

    UNBEATABLE!!!!.

  42. J.... M....

I had forgotten this nice song I had not heard it a long time which was released when I was fifteen. Only Connie has the ability to make those special sounds she made singing this song. Such a beautiful voice really like an Angel's. And she sings with so much feeling she makes me feel whenever I hear her sing.

  43. P.... M....

My late sister, Marion collected Connie Francis and Elvis and I Brenda Lee and Timi Yuro as teenagers. I miss my dear sister

    P.... M....

    May God help you
    assuage your grief.

  44. K.... H....

I love this song in English and Italian. Connie recorded this during the session she recorded "Where the Boys are".

  45. R.... R....

Boo to the Hateful 8 who don't like this.

    R.... R....

Phooey on you! Dislike and hate are two
different animals. I love this song,
but lunkheads like you take simply not liking a song
    too damn seriously. Do you
    like every song on
    you tube. Have
    you any songs
    YOU dislike? If
so, is that anything to get in
    a twist about?

  46. M.... M....

No recording artist could possibly live
long enough to record as many immortal songs about romantic heart-
break as Connie Francis. She shall be
    forever ensconced as
    the "Queen of Heartbreak."

    M.... M....

I do agree with all my heart!

  47. P.... F....

love her .brand new broken heart .Connie you are beautiful ... that me

  48. j.... s....

Real Beauty! Real music! Real Voices! Real Talent! Real Harmony! Even with her own Sweet Self!!!-Jeep-USN.Ret.-

    L.... ....

Labaron26 - Until we get to heaven!

    L.... ....

We still get good tunes wiith musical theatre butvssdly not so much with pop.

  50. L.... S....

#1 is Connie Francis, #2 is a zillion miles away.

    L.... S....

    The truth!

    L.... S....

Well Leigh, I agree. I love Brenda Lee, Patsy is wonderful, but on a desert island, Connie would be my #1.

  51. G.... M....

Everyone told me she was above me. A different world. I kept quiet, didn't do anything.I've carried her with me in my heart for 50 years. She was that one in a lifetime love. Ican still see her face, and feel her hand in mine. Funny how memories won't let go.

    G.... M....

I know how you feel. It's 45 years for me. He was my destiny and I let it go. I'll love him to the end of time.

    G.... M....

If we're lucky there will be that one special person, that love of a lifetime.

    G.... M....

yep, that is called true love. I know. I'm waiting 46 years later and I still remember him as if it was yesterday.

    G.... M....

Hard to believe.  I've been searching for 50 years.  I found her!  Last August.  We both are still alone.  Carol said she knew that I would look for her.  We are together and are so happy, it's almost crazy.  Keep your heart open, one day out of the blue you will find the one to fill it.

    G.... M....

Glad I ran onto you again.  Big surprise.  50 years of letters, phone calls, directories, city, county, state records.  I found her.  It's been a little over a year now.  She remembered me the way I remembered her.  The love is/was still alive.  We've been together now for that year and plus.  We are living now what most folks look at as memories.  As wonderful as I imagined it would be.  We hope you are as lucky as we are.  Best wishes  Carol and Glen

  52. v.... ....

i dragged out my 45s tonight and had a Conniepalooza!!!

  53. J.... s....

    Greatest voice ever.

    J.... s....

    Totally agree'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  54. j.... B....

patsy cline and connie francis ruled the late 50's and early 60's

    j.... B....

Brenda Lee outsold Patsy Cline in that period.

    j.... B....

    Regarding Brenda Lee
vs. Patsy Cline regarding record sales, it's difficult to
    record and promote
recordings when you're dead. The longer I live and listen to music, the more I
    realize the bone-
    headed futility of
pitting these immortal singers against each other
as to who is the greatest, or one's
    favorite. There are
    too many to choose
    from, each great in
    their own way.

    j.... B....

Jim...I agree, but add Petula Clark, a girl who had a love life as real as the love songs she sang...and Petula Clark is still going strong in her 80s.

  55. j.... ....

Dynamite song with very unusual arrangements.

  56. A.... P....

She was absolutely gorgeous when she was younger and what a voice. Connie, Patsy
Cline and Brenda Lee are my 3 favorite female singers of the past 60 years

    A.... P....

Pattti page , ,thersea brewer& gale storm ruled the early'mid 50s

    A.... P....

    I"ll agree with that 100%

    A.... P....

    Good taste

    A.... P....

Arizona Paul...Petula Clark was prettier than Connie, Patsy, and Brenda. All great, great singers, though, no question about that. If Elvis hadn't been so dang pretty, all four of these girl would have topped the charts. Cheers!!!

  57. J.... G....

Tied as the greatest singer of all time along with Patsy Cline--If you notice Patsy uses some of the same moves as Connie.

  58. B.... M....

Seems to be an under-rated record, but the modulations in her voice are fantastic.

  59. T.... P....

I tried a long time to down load this beautiful song, but not available, or disappeared from playlist .
