Connie Francis - Among My Souvenirs Lyrics
There's nothing left for me
Of days that used to be
They're just a memory
Among my souvenirs
A photograph or two
I see a rose from you
Among my souvenirs
A few more tokens rest
Within my treasure chest
And, though they do their best
To give me consolation
I count them all apart
I find a broken heart
Among my souvenirs
I count them all apart
And, as the teardrops start
I find a broken heart
Among my souvenirs

Connie Francis Among My Souvenirs Comments
I was but a naive 13 year old in the frozen Midwest when this song came over the airwaves courtesy of WLS in Chicago. How I loved it then. And in 2020, sixty years later, it still resonates. It still moves me. It still just fills me with emotion. It is a true classic sung by a woman with a voice that is truly a gift from the gods.
she has a voice like an angels fart
קוני פרנסיס פשוט מקסימה חבל לא באה לארץ
Connie and Karen Carpenter, two best female singers ever.
Great memories with Connie Francis records
Another heart breaker. Just pure yourself a drink sit down on your
most familiar chair and remember those days of just having a
lot of FUN and the people that enjoyed it with you .
Yes... I love it so much..
Just love her voice
The queen of close harmony
This a song that you just pure a drink and sit down and listen.
Someone asked, "Does music get any better than this?" It could. Try 'Unchained Melody.'
Ca love u fel,
lovely lovely lovely... simply lovely
What a beautiful feminine and sexy voice she has. She is an outstanding singer which is really worth to hear and enjoy. Sixty years have passed since this great song was released but it is not outdated by any means. And it is so superior to most of the songs being made today.
Connie sings harmony in this song. Beautiful and magical.
GREAT,THANKS
Says it all sadly
My all time greatest song by connie
Break my heart!
Her songs reminds me of my favorite Auntie Rita. She loved her singing and it rubbed off on me. I could listen for hours.
jew jerseys finest.
Connie Connie u kill it on this one unbelievable this is the greatest song u ever made.
Just fabulous.
What voice from the great Connie Francis this is one of the songs she ever made wow.
I'd never heard this song before. Last night at karaoke, July 28th, 2019, the computer randomly selected this song for me to sing. I did okay with it. I sang it more mellow. I'm a baritone.
This was my first time hearing her sing it. 10:35 PM on July 29th, 2019.
Beautiful voice
Nobody does it better. Connie - bellissimo!
EEN HEEL GOEDE SONG EN EEN HEEL GOEDE SONG VAN CONNY , VEEL GOEDS , BEDANKT.
Magnificent performer.
what a beautiful voice!
Connie Francis still gives me the shivers.
Bill Moss...Oh, yes. Thank God for Youtube and let's thank whoever keeps posting Connie's fantastic songs. I've loved this girl since...Ha, quite a while ago. Please don't bother to respond to this reply. I simply wanted to echo your comment.
@Janett Grady No bother Janett! There's an effortless V8 quality about Connie's voice, so she can hit and hold top notes that others would avoid. Comparisons with others are fairly pointless ; there is no comparison.
Breathtakingly beautiful.
My nan singing it right now with me :)
Amazing voice.
Why this is not played on radio nowadays , instead of today´s pop shit.
America that does not exist anymore ,
Easily, the finest female singer of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Connie Francis The Great!
I complete agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For me, this was one of the first tearjerkers in my life, if not the first...and hearing it now (2019), it still makes me cry. Connie could bring tears to your eyes, that's for sure. Her every song was great, but I favored Connie's puppy-love, boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl kind of songs.. But that's me. Thank you for being YOU, Connie. I love you, the world loves you.
Beautiful
Can I just say how beautiful her voice is.....
Those of us of a certain ancient age were privileged to hear her recordings on first release. She was and still is a treasure, even though the idiots at the Rock 'n Roll HoF deny Connie her well earned legacy in the glory years of the genre.
There's nothing left for me
Of days that used to be
They're just a memory
Among my souvenirs
Some letters sad and blue
A photograph or two
I see a rose from you
Among my souvenirs
A few more tokens rest
Within my treasure chest
And, though they do their best
To give me consolation
I count them all apart
And, as the teardrops start
I find a broken heart
Among my souvenirs
I count them all apart
And, as the teardrops start
I find a broken heart
Among my souvenirs
There are so many souvenirs. I just wish I had just one today. Why did I not take things more seriously?
Nice words
This was a huge crossover hit for the great Connie Francis got up to number 10 on the R&B charts.
Wow what a beautiful song great singer 💞💞💞
Such an angelic voice!!!
Connie is a Beautiful singer nobody can ever match her style & Voice 💕💕💕💕💕
Donna...Agnetha Faltskog, ABBA's lead singer, idolized Connie and copied Connie's style with a voice matching Connie's....easily noticeable after ABBA broke up and Agnetha performed on her own. If you love Connie like I do, you'll love Agnetha.
one of a kind voice.

Pure class, amazing voice!! It that takes me away. Love her so very much!
cast my memory back there.
I met her mother at the grocery store when I was little in Newark, NJ. She was handing out Connie pins. Connie went to my high school and every morning her music would be playing before classes started. I saw her at the West End Movies in Irvington, NJ (around 1958) and the show was great. She was appearing with Jimmy
Darren, God rest his soul.
William Henry
Perfect lyrics and orchestration and chorus.
Connie so beautiful a voice of an angel.
The year I married the biggest regret of my stupid life..
pretty face and voice
As Connie says we when we reach a certain age have a lot of love souvenirs. Her voice is great really and she sang with such feeling. And I still like to hear her whenever I have time to do so.
The Best Years Of Our Lives - anyone?
very pleasing to my ear and it touches the inner part of myself
Sure brings back memories of forgotten love oh!so long ago.
This old songs really bring back memories of old time love this songs very much.
Connie was blessed with one of the purest voices you’ll ever hear. What a gift, it’s as liquid gold somehow spun into a fine silk fabric that wraps one in Love.

A very memorable sweet singing voice I heard as a kid during the PHONOGRAPH ERA with the use of so Bulky Vacuum Tubes Amplifiers in the middle 1970s.

68歳男性、コニーフランシスは世界最高の女性歌手、彼女を超える女性歌手はもう二度と現れない。魅了されて何度聞いても心が溶けます。
The great Connie Francis best song she ever right here
This was my dad's favourite song. Now it's mine xxx
Dzisiaj nikt tak nie spiewa
A very strong melody from 1927, I woke up today with this version on my mind . Today I'll work on my own guitar arrangement and I might perform it with harmonies a la Connie. Connie was the Queen of double-tracking (over dubbing) and she did that better than anyone else.
I love very much this song. Well done mrs Francis.
great music
9 years old in the back of the Rambler, headed for Huntington Beach So Cal.
Great memories.
Connie is such a great singer really and this song has a new meaning for me now I am old. Indeed we oldsters have a lot of souvenirs we carry with us whether they are physical objects like our wedding ring or mental ones only of those nice moments we have had in the past.
I WOULD LIKE TO BE AMONG YOUR SOUVENIRS
My Mom & I used to pantomine her songs when I was a little girl in the 50’s
Camille Conley
I still have the Concert ticket of the Iron Butterflies, that tony took me to my first concert. I still have some souvenirs from my first love after 48 years ago.
This song SO belongs to Connie that it is as if nobody else recorded this immortal work before, or since.
Just another one
of her insuperable
love notes to the
world. Edgar Leslie (1885-1976 ) born
in Stamford, Connecticut, wrote the lyrics. He lived for 91 years. Lawrence
Wright (1888-1964), born
in Leicester, U.K.,
composed the music. He died at
age 76. (He composed many songs under the pseudonym Horatio Nicholls.) This song
is so ineffably morose that I can
only listen to it one time, and then
not again for a LONG time! I very much imagine that this is a common practice
for most everyone who likes this song. It has been
said: "There is nothing more beautiful than a
perfect tragedy."
enchante
This is a very nice and true song. What is left of those loves we had in our youth? Some souvenirs and memories only. And we still remember them many years later. But of course we don't get carried away and love those we have around us after all the past is the past and through nice it is gone and can never be retrieved.
Thank you for sharing. Our graduation song way back in 1970. Great song and singer dan ncr manila
She could sing a laundry list and make it work!
What is a laundry list?

A top ten hit for Connie in winter of 1959. B-side "God Bless America" also charted (Nr. 36).
A song of nostalgia, the past and lost love. Souvenirs are well worth keeping, collecting.
