Brilliant and really timeless song. Video ... well very 80's.

Still sounds as good as the first time my parents played the album in our living room when they got back from the states in 94. Can't believe its already 25 years ago. Fuck, where has the time gone? Anyway, big props to his wife beating cancer & all the best to them & their family going forwards. Any cancer is a terrible thing for a family to go through & your recovery never really ends because the treatment tends to leave its legacy. Fortunately, they now have alternatives to chemo & radiation coz they were almost worse than the cancer itself.

A lot of people give him shit coz of his outbursts on TV around the time of the Obama inauguration in 08 particularly since many people don't even know or care for his music. But give the guy a break. He's NO born & bred. Can't expect him not to rise to the defense of his friends & fellow countrymen. A lot of people could afford to have a lot fewer chips on their shoulders, buck up & accept its the 21st fucking century, time to leave all of that childish prejudice behind & grow up.

+Anucha SeoDml All of the radio/video edits from this album completely butchered the songs. The worst was "Whisper Your Name". This album was instantly one of my favorites from HCJ when it came out and I still listen to it all of the time. I keep waiting for the extra lines at the beginning and the solos that get totally cut out in the middle. I love nearly everything he has released but with the except of Blue Light, Red Light (it has always been my favorite) my two favorite albums were when he put together his funk band and recorded this one (She) and Star Turtle. I actually met him a few years ago on tour and asked him if he would ever consider putting another funk band together and/or going on tour and he said that he had a lot of fun with it back then but he still has some new things he wants to try. He didn't say no at least so here's to hoping!

Yes, its a typo. The album only came out in 94. Hard to believe this was his real breakthrough since he's been writing hit music since he was 9 which would have put him somewhere in the late 70s early 80s

Saw him personally helping out after Hurricain katrina....on a small boat...neck deep in water filled with God knows what...carried old lady trapped in her house to his 10 foot boat....amazing. Love 'She'....super good cd....tunes that are of the highest quality and make you move....top notch!

Funny you should say that because Dr John, who sadly passed away recently, was one of his inspirations. Having spent a lot of his childhood hanging out with other musical families in NO like the Marsalis' he would've been exposed to all that music growing up. The fact that he's a prodigy on top of it is just an added bonus

I saw Harry for the She tour, it was one of the best shows ever. When I saw him again, it was very disappointing. I wish he would go back to the magic from the She show, it seemed more authentic
