My brothers have passed away. They were my best friends and I miss them both so much. This song always reminds me of them. I don’t think I’ll ever get over them not being here with me.

I never had a brother, but I had 4 sisters. 2 older and 2 younger I was honored that God chose me to be their brother. My oldest sister died April 5 2017. It shook my soul, and my earth quaked so hard it when one of my veins was ripped from my heart. She was 42, and we're not sure what happened somehow she broke a rib and staph set up and killed her. She moved down to Panama city a few years ago and she kept asking me to move down there, and said she'd pay my way, but I stayed in Georgia. She was 5 hours away and I wasn't there when she died, and a part of me died for a while BC of that. Then I realized God blessed me with the chance to live with her and that was his choice. I didn't complain about him giving her a birthday so I didn't feel right about complaining about her dying. So instead of dying with her. She lives in me as long as I live. I have 3 sons 17,13,11 and middle one looks up to the oldest who don't realize the honor he has and takes it for granted. The youngest looks up to the middle one, but he just sees little brother as a rival. I try to tell them all they've been blessed tremendously and don't take it for granted because one day you'll look back for your childhood but it'll be lost in time, and they'll be no way to get it back. They're good boys though, and God's gonna do great through them.

I had just said goodbye to my older brother, we had shared life ...family ... and experienced things together that no one on earth but us understood. I walked out of the hospital room. He had just passed away. It was anti-climatic. He had been in the hospital for months .What did I feel ? I couldn't tell you what I felt. His body was going to be cremated, So this was the last time I would ever see him. I talked to him for a couple of moments... said Some things about when we were children... Some things that needed to be forgiven... and Some promises were made... I would take care of his daughter Like she was my own. I would step up. to fill a role I never wanted ...be the oldest brother in the family and watch over my mom and dad ... When I walked out of the hospital room. It just seemed like it was not enough. How could life be over. So randomly without an exclamation point. When I stepped onto the elevator the Spirit of God spoke to me. A simple phrase .. that now is a part of how I live. Every day of my life. The phrase simply is “Last time Here Next time There” This was the last time here. But I felt the joy of the Lord knowing there is a Next Time There. This book Is Dedicated to all of you who have loved ones you've seen For the last Time Here, you are going to have great joy the Next Time There. The next time I see him it will not be in a hospital room. It will be in the throne room of heaven. He won't have tubes, he won't have side effects of medication, He won't have issues and struggles and things that were not done or completed.. He will be whole, Complete and More alive than I've ever seen him on the earth. I’ll see him loved fully understood and I can hardly wait give my big brother a great big Hug ... I look forward. I really love the song I lost my brother and we did everything together and it was us against the world you mess with one of us she knew mess with mess with both of us and since I've lost and I'm totally lost myself and not too long after I lost him I lost my wife

I have two little brothers they get on my nerves but i'd do anything for them. I just started driving and i take them to school and back everyday and it makes me feel good because my youngest brother thinks im the greatest driver in the world because we almost went off on the dirt road but i saved it and hes been braggin about it every since.

I never had a brother but I do remember the 70's in Mississippi those were simpler times my Grandma had a party line on her phone. Us swinging from grape vines and going cat fishing in the ponds.

I'm from Attala County, I don't remember the 60s or 70s, cause I'm only thirty years old, but I have heard the stories though. In my misspent youth, all I did was dream about leaving. I joined the Army at 18, and I have spent the last 12+ years of my life, dreaming to go back. Well, I'm finally back in MS, but on the Gulf Coast, and this place has gone crazy, I will return one day, and I hope "GOD's Country", hasn't changed that much. For all the proud Southerners out there, our government needs to go to war, they send in the Southern boys first. The first two large line-units in the fight in Iraq was 3rd I.D. , which is mostly Southerners, and Mississippi's own 155th BCT of the Mississippi National Guard, they were moving so fast to Bagdad , they were ordered by George W. Bush to slow down, calm down, stops being so violent and causing so much collateral damage. The Dixie Thunder Run commemorates the run to Bagdad, and the disbanding of the world's 7th largest military in two weeks time. We Southerners were mad about New York, and we did almost win a war where we were outnumbered 7 to 1, starving with no supplies , and we're using anything we could melt into a ball for ammo. We invented guerilla warfare, and sniping.

I lost my little brother over 30 yrs ago and this song reminds me of all the times we played and fought when we were kids and brings tears when I listen to it I really miss him

It has been over a year since he went home to be with our Lord and this is the first time I have been able to look at the pictures and remember sellin watermellons instead of remembering he is gone home .. thank God for lots of watermellon memories

Heard this song for the first time today, 1/2/12..lost my Big Brother and best friend in August 1990, there is not a day I don't think about him and the stuff we done and the things he done for me. And my Cousin who was his partner in time a "Dynamic Duo" who is and has always been like a Big brother to me....Big Brothers are the best in the world, even if your at the butt end of obnoxiousness.
