Looking back, which is safe, hey Ma, this was among the strongest debut records I can think of now (2019). The songs are wonderful, this is what music is for, and the performances from everyone truly excellent. People go about how this or that band should have conquered the world - but listen to what was achieved. Good grief! This is brilliant. Nobody knows what is ahead of them. That Concrete Blonde kept on rolling say it all to me - Heartfelt and real.

I didnt discover them til the 90s but was instantly in love with Johnette and her beautiful voice and her skills on the bass. I grew to love her music so much and i feel so connected to her through her music. I even named my daughter after her.
