Nothing under-rated about Concrete Blonde. It's just a cliche to say that for someone (Johnette) with healthy success given the music industry changes since 1982 to 2019. Even YouTube shows this.

You can literally tell what kind of mood she was in when she wrote songs. And Johnapolettiano never seemed to play up to an imagine because it was popular or cool. She was always very funny and very dark and everything that made her original.

Today was my birthday! Those who mattered called it sent a text. Those who I thought mattered, couldn't be bothered.

Better than i thought. Birthday songs aren't easy to write since we all have that one that everyone has heard from the day we were born and that is a terrible one but it is stuck in our collectivesubconsious minds and my theory is this interferes with the creative processes

RandyGuitar - Yeah, CB is one of those bands that never really got the props I feel they deserved.
In fact this whole album, Free, is a classic.
Every track, from God is a Bullet to Carry me Away are so fucking good.
To this day I love this record, and it stands up really well.
It kicks the shit out of most of the bullshit on the radio today.
On the other hand it kicked the shit out of most of the shit on the radio then too, so no change there really.
