Colony House - Moving Forward Lyrics
I found life and I found laughter
In forgiveness, I found rest
On the shoulders of redemption
I found hope when hope was dead
I could lose it in a moment
I'll watch fear fall with the sunset
And see hope rise with the tide
And when the pain is true
Sometimes these troubles prove that I'm alive
My eyes are open
My heart is beating
My lungs are full
And my body's breathing
I'm moving forward
I found the life that gave me reason to live
As this dusty road now settles
And I see what lay before
Every tear that held a broken dream
Is now shattered on the floor
And now bursting forth in splendor
Are the blossoms of second tries
Because dreams that bear the mark of love
Are dreams that never die, ooh
Sometimes
Life can feel so unkind
Sorrow won't define me
So just reminds my soul
My soul
My eyes are open
My heart is beating
My lungs are full
And my body's breathing
I'm moving forward
I found my freedom
I know this sorrow
I know the heartache
I know with fear comes a tragic heartbreak
I'm moving forward
I found my freedom
I found a life that gave me reason to love

Colony House Moving Forward Comments
I feel good ! Thank U CH
What a beautiful band..
What time signature is this?!
I cannot fully express my feelings about this song...
I love music. I practically live and breathe it. I'm always listening to it and/or singing. It's always been my release, but when my sister-in-law passed away last year after a year-long battle with cancer, I couldn't bring myself to listen to much of anything. Until I found this video. This was the first song (more specifically this performance) that I really connected with. I had heard the studio version many times and already thought it was amazing, but this performance... The stripped down instrumentation, the emotion is Caleb's voice... It was just what I needed! I would play it on loop and just cry and pray that one day I would see my brother be able to move forward and love again. And that day has come. My brother is now engaged to a wonderful young lady and will be married in a few months!
And even now, when this video shows up recommended, I cannot pass it up. But now when I listen, my tears are not so much from pain, but thankfulness to the Lord form bringing my family through heartbreak. (And just one play is never sufficient! haha)
I am forever grateful to Colony House for helping me through one of the hardest times in my life! ❤

Brasileiro acompanhando, conheci vocês através do spotify, nem acreditaria se eles me respondessem a esse comentário. Brazilian accompanying, met you through spotify, nor would believe if they answered me that comment.
Just hand over the tabs and nobody gets hurt...
I know everyone says THEY ARE SO UNDERRATED and then gets all upset and possessive when an artist get famous (guilty), but these guys truly deserve more recognition. Wow.
People who don't want their favorite bands/artists to succeed upset me. It's really selfish to think like that.
Can anybody please post a download link.
Fun fact: the lead singer and the drum player are sons of Stephen Curtis Chapman 0.o blew my mind...
+Emma Hansen same here! I grew up listening to Stephen Curtis Chapman's music.
Wait....what? You just blew my mind
Steven..

I recently saw you at the Rhyman in Nashville my mom talked to you while you were packing your car, and I really like your music I used to sing your dads songs when I was a kid, anyway I know this song probably means a lot to you but I just thought I'd throw it out there that I have and endless appreciation for it and it really helped me get through a hard time :-) thank you for that, you are so talented and will always be an inspiration I hope you go far!
AWESOME Lyrics: Moving Forward - Colony House
I found life and I found laughter.
In forgiveness, I found rest.
On the shoulders of redemption,
I found hope when hope was dead.
I could lose it in a moment,
so I dare not close my eyes.
I'll watch fear fall with the sunset
and see hope rise with the tide.
And when the pain is true,
sometimes these troubles prove that I'm alive.
My eyes are open,
my heart is beating,
my lungs are full,
and my body's breathing.
I'm moving forward.
I found my freedom.
I found the life that gave me reason to live.
As this dusty road now settles
and I see what lay before,
every tear that held a broken dream
Is now shattered on the floor.
And now bursting forth in splendor
are the blossoms of second tries
because dreams that bear the mark of love
are dreams that never die.
Sometimes
life can feel so unkind.
Sorrow won't define me
So just reminds my soul.
My soul
My eyes are open,
my heart is beating,
my lungs are full,
and my body's breathing.
I'm moving forward.
I found my freedom.
I know this sorrow.
I know the heartache.
I know with fear comes a tragic heartbreak.
Well I'm moving forward.
I found my freedom.
I found the life that gave the reason to love.
The more I listen to their music, the more joy I feel. Outstanding.
Beautiful song :-)
Caleb Chapman has an awesome voice. May he be used by God to raise worship for Christ in the churches.
I totally agree. Their lyrics are so positive and uplifting. Hope they make some worship tracks someday!!
