Mine passed away this Halloween at age 103. I'm so sorry for your loss :( it's never easy to lose a beloved grandparent. I remember hearing this song years and years ago when it was new, but now it hits home a little now that I'm a grown man. I remember years ago when my maternal grandmother died, my grandpa was just absolutely heartbroken and I had never seen him cry either but he has since passed on as well. Between now and then until I see them again, I know they'll always be watching over me.

I just recently lost my dad as in he died last Monday and now this song brings tears to my eyes and this is the first time I've heard the full song since I've had the ringtone for awhile

I lost my grandpa bill back in 2012. He died of no blood pressure. I miss him. When I was little, whenever he got onto me for doing something wrong, i wished he would die, now that I’m almost done with school I wish he was still here to see me graduate.

I love this song. It came out in October 1991, my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer in 1990 and passed away in September of 92. After she passed I remember playing a flute that I got from school because I was taking lessons and I completely broke down crying. I still miss her so much!

My love sent me this song when he had to make the long drive back home without me again.....he lost the tears battle needless to say so did I.....

My grandparents died when I was 15. My grandpa said if grannie died first, he'd died within 6 months. Grandpa had dementia badly and knew no one byt the they went to a nursing home. on 12 Feb 1971 my Grannie died of a heart attack. We never told Grandpa. On 14 July 1971, 5months and 2 days later, he joined her. This song reminds me so much of them. I think of then every time I hear it. Thanks Collin.

This song became the official daddy/daughter song when it was released. My 4 year old daughter and I loved singing this together.

This may sound dumb to some but the day before my dog was put down this song came to mind for him. I miss him so much I hope that when it's my time he is there waiting for me. We just put him down Tuesday so it is really hard for me right now. I miss my baby so much. I hope it doesnt seem like a long time until we see one another again to him. I remember hearing this song about a year after my grandma and grandpa died in 1985. Little to be known to me, 7 years later my parents were killed. I can't listen to this song, still to this day, without crying. My grandma and grandpa went in a car crash and so did mom and dad. This song is such a beautiful tribute to the ones that we have loved that come from yesteryear.
