Cole, Paula - Throwing Stones Lyrics
So call me a bitch in heat and
i call you a liar
and we'll throw stones until we're dead
there you go again you cut me off from talkin'
the center of the circle
all the friends think you're a fuckin' comedian
so kind and generous
but i am suffering
away from here
i wanna be
away from here
away from here
away from every little thing I have
i used to love your every little every little thing
now you call me a bitch in heat and
i call you a liar
and we'll throw stones until we're dead
you're the puppeteer and i'm the puppet
you manipulate me with your real catholic shit
everytime i try to talk it through
you turn it around and make us out like david and goliath
away from here
i wanna be
away from here
away from here
away from every little thing I have
every little thing
i used to love your every little every little thing
now you call me a bitch in heat and
i call you a liar
and we'll throw stones until we're dead
your arms beneath me
you're lying inside me
i used to love your every little every little thing
your eyes grews stars
your hand in my purse
and now i hate your every little everything
oh mama
i didn't know life was this hard
oh mama
my innocence has been tarred
my inner vision, dulled and darkened
i give myself away to you
i felt my sorrow humble me
and throw my crown upon the ground
it's you i hope for
and us i pray for
and me that i believed that was wrong
and now my anger is my best friend
be careful i may bite your head off
liar
so call me a bitch in heat and
i'll call you a liar
and we'll throw stones until we're dead
so call me a bitch in heat and
i'll call you a mother fucker
and we'll throw stones until we're dead

Cole, Paula Throwing Stones Comments
my mother played the life out of this album and here i am revisiting. somehow always remembered the opening as “call me a bitch and mean it...”
Best song for those being exploited and lied to by sociopath pretenders!
É relevante
Very strong, thoughtful/provoking artistic work! Always like this - thanks to Peter Gabriel for "introducing" her.
This brings me back to a place I had almost forgotten. So strange how music and scents are such powerful triggers.
Anger...let that shit out, baby! No baby doll troll gets it off her chest like Paula Cole! This track just NAILS YOU TO THE WALL, MTHRFKRS!!
I'm drowning here I am Anthony
This was my moms “fuck you” music when my parents got divorced. I fucking love this album.
Hells ya!

My favorite singer...
yep, mine too....I've seen her about 12 times and she's great each time...amazing vocals
amazing voice ! very creative super album!!
new tour dates announced! Special show May 1st at city winery for "This Fire" album!! Just got my tickets!
Love it!
Just saw Paula Cole last night in Albuquerque was great..this song was even better live... Her range is amazing :)
granalith Do you have any video?
This Fire was one of the most amazing albums of the 1990s. I played it TO DEATH back in '96/'97. The music and her vocals are so raw with emotion. It was almost a little bit jarring to my little teenage system, but once I was hooked, that was it.
tygersflowerz I couldn't have said it better myself. I feel like I have a different but good relationship with it now as an adult.
Same...I was obsessed. Listening to it brings back memories.
can men cast how men can be without suffering
The Old Road
Love love love this song. It speaks so much truth to life. I love her
my fave Paula Cole song, thank you for sharing it
haha, same here, great writing!
This brings me way back.. i listened to this album over and over... loved it.. i got to say though this fire is the only paula cole album i liked... it was raw and has some amazing visceral vocal performances.. her later stuff lost me... but this album has just come back alive for me... replay again and again :-)
harbinger (the one before this) is good too
That's super ridiculous! People would often judge her SOLELY on the Dawson's Creek association. Boo! This album really takes me back, too - such a badass artist, and a vocal powerhouse.
I've been a fan since 94 and I too get upset when people only associate her with Dawson's Creek!! Do you see her tour?? Do you keep up with her new stuff?? Its amazing for real
Roxie Beane snoo true!! Have loved her since the release of this album..it brings back so many memories of a better time!😀✌👍💗💗🎵🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵
Wow! I was actually called a pussy for listening to her, can you imagine. Great stuff, it takes me back!!!
eric girard call that person a bitch and a liar
