Cole, Nat King - Tenderly Lyrics
The evening breeze caressed the trees tenderly
The trembling trees embraced the breeze tenderly
Then you and I came wandering by
And lost in a sigh were we
The shore was kissed by sea and mist tenderly
Your arms opened wide and closed me inside
You took my lips, you took my love so tenderly

Cole, Nat King Tenderly Comments
One of my favorite voices of all time 💞 this song is so flawless
nat's version, tops all!
Second only to Frank (at his best), but close. It is heartbreaking to think that he smoked 4 packs a day-- he fathomed that they deepened his voice...we lost him at just 45 to lung cancer. What else might he have recorded had he lived a normal length life?! Nobody was a better balladeer. A gift of providence to be sure.
Nat cole is magical the absolute best Male singer class a gentleman not like Sinatra who I also love but he has no class compared to nat cole most of the times not all Sinatra would say sarcastic things about cole and nat cole WOULD NEVER SAY ANYTHING NASTY ABOUT SINATRA WE ARE ALL COMPLEX BUT SINATRA HAD TO HAVE THE UPPER HAND AND COULD AND WOULD BE A VERY NASTY MAN IT WAS HIS WAY OR THE HIGHWAY AND THAT IS VERY SAD PLEASE REMEMBER THAT BOTH MEN WORKED FOR CAPITOL AND SINATRA OF COUSE THINK THAT WAS A THREAT IN SINATRA MIND NAT COLE WOULD EVER THINK THAT WAY AS I SAID HE WAS A GENTLEMAN AND ALWAYS A CLASS ACT I LOVE SINATRA IN THE 50S AND 60S BUT HE WAS NOT THE NICEST PERSON ON THE CAPITOL RECORD BUILDING THERE IS A BRONZE PLACK ON THE WALL THAT SAYS. THE HOUSE THAT NAT BUILT SINATRA HAD TO READ THAT EVERY DAY FOR YEARS AND THAT HAD TO DRIVE HIM NUTS ALSO WHEN NC DIED IN 65 SINATRA RECORDED A LOT A LOT OF ALBUMS THAT SAME YEAR STRANGE
great nat king cole R.I.P

DOCTORS SHOULD PRESCRIBE NAT FOR STRESS MANAGEMENT.
Every time I play a Nat King Cole song, I decide that's my favourite. Then I play another and decide, that's my favourite. In fact every one of Nat's songs is my favourite. That's because he is simply the best vocalist of my lifetime, and that now spans 78 years.
Love, love , love , this song early black 🇺🇸 music . It's so classic!
It was wonderfull. His voice was incomparable
A modern day Crooner- https://youtu.be/ZKE6ZupQoEs
One of the best singers of all times.
He must have known, oh so well, that ...”the man that hath no music in him is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.”
Salve

🌹=🌹♫❤ 🌹~k with "LOVE"
nicely described ;-)
Um clássico!
This song was given to Sarah Vaughan in 1947 by the composer Walter Gross and she introduced it in her 1947 recording Musicraft 504. Rosemary Clooney later recorded it in 1952 with a lush Percy Faith string orchestration for the larger Columbia records, a company with superior marketing distribution and radio airplay, overshadowing Vaughan and Musicraft's earlier premiere.
Jim Stark
hOW i LOVED SARAH VAUGHAN,I saw her early in her career at(I THINK) the blue note w/ Lionel Hampton.
Thanks still beautiful and always will be, i remember it like yesterday a group from our club went on a boat ride on Hudson River day line in NYC way,way back
very special, such a perfect voice!
São canções inesquecíveis
Timeless
Those 8 who disliked have no clue about music
they are 28 right now in 12''10''2019
those 8 or 28 who disliked are the ones at the height of frustration.
height of frustration = running totally naked around a round table trying to f-ck themselves in their own asses!
RECORDAÇÕES MINHA JUVENTUDE.
MARVELOUS voice and his tone is OUTSTANDING !!!!!!
Nat king Cole and Rosemary Clooney should have done a duet together of this Song as someone mention in their comment.
James Williams That would have been amazing. Did she do a duet with Sammy Davis Jr?
silky, milky......tenderly.

I LOVE TENDERLY!
top arrangement.
its fantastic--capital did such great arrangements--sort of wistful/charming--wonder who did this one--nat cole had the best arrangements--and his voice matched them...
+windstorm1000 This incredible arrangement was by Nelson Riddle.
The Very Best enunciating every note/lyric, he was Incomparable!

Nat and Ella, absolute perfection.
Absolutely the greatest vocal artist of my lifetime. So smooth and soulful. A gift to music lovers.
Harry Brugger absolutely right, I love this song so much
A maior voz cantando a maior música.
The 1950s were some of the best years every experienced by the human race. Life was good. People respected each other. And the cars were works of art!
Tabitha Palmer See who founded the KKK.
Societal Revolution Indeed! The record-buying public had to be , in great measure , "white" people. Nat was universally popular.
Those 1950's cars you can still see in Havana. The music not so easily.
except in Korea
Absolutely a classic by one of the greatest artists, ever....Thank you for uploading this beautiful ballad performed by my favorite vocal artist, the late, great, Mr.Nat "King " Cole.
20 évesen hallgatni ezt egy gyönyörű kislánnyal.......mennyei.
Timeless and matchless. RIP... Mr.Cole. (RIP)
Inesquecível Nat!!!
you touch my lips, you touch my love , so tenderly.....
This guy was really something and brought so much pleasure to so many millions and yet there were racist elements who would have dragged him down for no other reason than he was black and doing better than they were.
No doubt about that...He was "The Jackie Robinson of entertainment"....A movie is long overdue. ...
He was the first black entertainer to host his own television variety show. It was cancelled after only a year because he couldn't find a sponsor who was able or willing to ignore boycotts in the South.
yankiemog And whom, do you suppose, had the disposable income to buy this man's records...? Oh, yeah...all those 'prejudiced' white folk.
Saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade, saudade... I can't forget...
A VOZ DE VELUDO!LINDA INTERPRETAÇÃO!

This music, this piece, is my favourite. I enjoy the light music on 30`s, 40`s and 50`s but "Tenderly" in the Nat King Cole voice carry me toward a wonderful world.
