Can someone please explain the album art tattoo??

I thought Vena was Latin for hollowed and cavo Latin for vein. Could mean he felt or feels hollow due to past experiences and has the tattoo as a reminder that he got through those hardships. Lots of different possibilities for the actual meaning but it's cool to hear different opinions. I just got the symbol tattooed on my neck 3 days ago!

@Jamie MacMullin that could be one other meaning although that's something more personal. I would think album wise the meaning for Vena is closer to what I explained.

Also they have an older song named Hollow and it's kickass, maybe check it out if you haven't already? XD

I listened to Vena when I was in a real bad place and I really haven't been able to lyrically connect fully to an entire band since Breaking Benjamin. I really found myself inside the music from Vena and I know I'll never regret getting the tattoo!

Ohh I love the middle of the song after the bridge when Masato literary screams the longest "fuck you" I'v ever heard in my xD
Then the rest of the song ends with two back to back epic guitar solos both by Sugi and Yokochi each I think(?)

 
Dude I know what you mean; I have not myself been able to connect with a band much at all since stuff like Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Saliva....etc. I like coldrain's stuff a ton since most of their releases are mainly relevant to coming to terms with oneself and just never getting anything have the best of you. Final Destination, The Enemy Inside, Through Clarity, and The Revelation/Until The End were the records i found myself when tuning into constantly more then anything else to be completely honest.

BTW It's quite awesome to have a piece of art on your body that represents what an artist has really inspired in you so I would never ever regret getting that either! :)
