Coldplay - Bloodless Revolution Lyrics

People wanna fight for fun
But what is a battle when the war's already been won
People wanna break what's built
There's no use crying when the milk's already been spilt

Here's a needle, here's a thread
Sew yourself up, clear your head
Here's a needle, here's a thread
Oh no, I meant exactly what I said

You might find that you're useless
No better than a hole in the ground
You might find that you're useless
No better than a hole in the ground

Look at all the cavemen goin'
Turning over to the shore
[?]

I'm only looking for a bloodless revolution
I'm only looking for a bloodless revolution
I'm only looking for a bloodless revolution

Coldplay Bloodless Revolution Comments
  1. Elise Antys

    Influenced 42 clearly ! 😉

  2. Saurabh Wadhwani

I thought Coldplay is taking History Classes.

  3. Latent Signal

Absolutely love this song but can't help but chuckle that first time Chris struggles to sing 'you might find that you're useless' lol

  4. Gren Wren

The ending of the song sounds exactly like the ending to Adventure of a lifetime

  5. Moises Osegueda

I'm only looking for a bloodless revolution
I'm only looking for a bloodless revolution
I'm only looking for a bloodless revolution

  6. Matt LaTorre

The bit that starts around 50 seconds in sounds like it was reused in 42.

  7. abvfoak

the piano, melody, and chord progressions here are untouchable, and here they lie in the demo pile... other musicians would be so lucky to even get one of these, and coldplay was able to craft viva AND prospekt's without even needing this... as a songwriter this is so humbling to me!

  8. Nast Ber

I live just for Chris saying Bloodless Revolution at the beginning 😍

    emily emily

    tbh omg

  9. generatorgem

i hear elements of 42 in this

  10. PCFanatic

Think about it. Songs like Bloodless revolution, A Spell a Rebel Yell, The Fall of Man didn't make on the album, but Yes did.

    AsiaRina

YES, is my shit. It's too good, so i don't know what the hell your talking about.

    PoBoi 17

The thing is, every song written during this era was top notch, so it was hard to decide what to work on

    Nour Sarhan

    Exactly!

    Red Productions

Yes is fantastic, what the hell are you all on about?

    MrVleker

I think yes is fantastic as well, it's really original, different and interesting. The lyrics are great as well!

  11. Electro-Shock Blues 42

I wish they finished this. Definitely would've been a favorite of mine. After years, I'm still not sick of this song. I just wish it really could've been on the album.

  12. PCFanatic

Goddamn I wish this song could've reached its full potential. Coldplay should choose their most popular unreleased songs and turn them into full songs for the next albums

  13. Jawwad Noaman

The songs which were supposed to be released are trashed //// REALLY MISS THIS COLDPLAY

    Jawwad Noaman

+AceLobster why, this song is too good.

I Hate Twenty-One Pilots And Feminist

    I think acelobster misunderstood.

I Hate Twenty-One Pilots And Feminist

@AceLobster I think he meant that the songs which were supposed to be released were "trashed" as in thrown out.

    Jawwad Noaman

    hehe you are right :D

  14. Angelo Giummarra

I couldn't imagine how good would have been if turned in a album song....

  15. uttamo7

The chorus from Miss the Misery by Foo Fighters would fit so nicely in this

  16. dragonballzfan3

Goddamn this is good. They really need to reuse the melody from the beginning and they'd definitely have a hit on their hands. A shame they never did anything with this.

  17. Alex Gonzalez Evans

The chordprogression is sooo good. I think maybe the middlepart made him struggle or someone unsatisfied, since it doesn't really fit into the melancholic mood from the start. Also I think it would've been a reaaally strong song to compete with Violet Hill Viva la Vida on that Album.

    Chad S

    Alex Gonzalez Evans

2 year old post, perfectly put.

  18. Bryan Chavez-Castro

That's a very nice melody, they should re-use that.

    Alejandro Baars

Don't forget about the lyrics! Wonderfull!!!

    Jamila Coleman

Check out a Coldplay song called Death and all his friends you'll hear some of the same piano in it

    Alejandro Baars

I know, and I love that song :)

    Jamila Coleman

@Alejandro Baars What's your favorite coldplay song or album?

    Nour Sarhan

    It's also similar to 42

  19. Fletcher

"Here's a needle, here's a thread, sew yourself up, clear your head..", really nice chorus or bridge into a chorus there, he should revisit that

    GD QH

I agree! It's been going round my head for months..

    Elisha Zepeda

+Fletcher McHugh That part specifically reminds me very much of a Smith's melody that Morissey would write (or maybe a song that they have already, I'm not sure).

  20. Fuckboi and Lavacunt

I wish they put out a finished version of this as it's very good but then again I like the raw demo too.

  21. asdf58

coldplay's 4th album is one of my favorite and this song is awesome and very rhythmical!

  22. Azka Devara

this can easily replace some obscure songs in the album, like "yes". I mean the never play it live either..

  23. Broadway Phanatic

We need to like write a petition for coldplay to release these amazing songs....

    Nour Sarhan

    Agreed!

  24. Broadway Phanatic

Makes me so sad that they didn't release this.... It's beautiful...

  25. Princess Milky

  30. carlycharlie gillibrand

  31. Peshuga de posho

Chris, will , guy and jonny are genius musicians

  32. Connie Senk

    Sounds great !!!

  33. upwiththeowls

the low piano bit sounds like 42!

  34. MajaRada

Where did you get all this stuff??

  35. Nenad Babin

it sounds little bit like 42

  36. Flowing Freely

    like the lyrics

  37. matiastoat42

I GUESS EVERYONE OF US WOULD LOVE TO COME UP WITH THIS HUH? (SORRY, CAPS LOCK DAY...)

  38. Matthew Wagner II

Great song, not that I expect any less from this band :D thanks for the upload!

  39. Bluegiraffe2016

Their demos are at least as good as what's been released :)

  40. coldplayforever15

I wish I could learn the beginning on piano...

  41. uropenbook

OMG OMG OMG OMG, A NEW DISCOVERY!

  42. Sofi

    Coldplay´s music is something... indescriptible

  43. DannysCorner

  45. Reval171

God Damn It ! THIS SONG reminds me of the damn beatles!

  46. Reval171

@LendMeYourHand what do you mean.. ur words r scaring me 0_0! explain further!

  47. James Fitzgerald

This song actually reminds me of a stripped-down version of Apocalypse Please by Muse.

  48. Echad Lev Shtim

@13kover The secret: A4= 432HZ. There is a special frequency which i am attempting to pinpoint which will literally make you cry with joy. i feel it in many of the greats. Funny enough, the last time i heard this strange frequency that induces it was from Katey Perry tunes. Now i am waiting to discover this shamanic frequency in Cold Play songs. Let me know if you ever felt this strange frequency which induces emotions. Otherwise, realize this oddity that makes you cry with warmth.

  49. Quetinn

Yeah this definitely would've been an amazing addition to any album they've released, when offcourse, finished properly and smoothed around the edges. It does have an awesome vibe to it. But it's coldplay, what else do we expect. With every demo I've heard, I wish it had been released at some point. Especially Lukas and famous old painters

  50. Carolina Del Prete

    god, this is so good!

  51. George williams

@jesalbert1 THIS IS BETTER THAN HALF THE TRACKS ON VIVA LA VIDA
