@Ryan Winter They were only able to realize about 60% of their ideas. Additionaly, the band members got really tired of each other and they came close to a break-up. Chris Martin got kicked out of the band for some weeks. As a result they spent less time with each other since the Viva La Vida era (and Brian Eno's ideas). But I think critics really hurt them, too. Chris Martin stated in retroperspective, that critics were right about the album being too long. Frankly I disagree

I love Coldplay they're really amazing...
They're like medicine for the soul ❤

I don't know what it is about Coldplay ... We all know, even they know themselves (humble and wise as they seem to be) that they're not virtuosos .... but the music they make is just so human, so relateable, It creates a feeling of love and community. People feel hope and are empowered by their music. And that makes them the best for me. Not to mention the variety of styles they have pulled off in their carrer.

Coldplay has an amazing body of work. This is one of my favorites. Chris Martin is such a talented singer/songwriter. Some of their best songs aren't hits. That's a pretty good indicator of a great band in my opinion.
