I was born in 79, grew up largely dismissing Barnsey and Cold Chisel as bogan rock. But it's actually incredibly soulful music, and Jimmy has (had?) and astonishingly excellent voice!

1982, just turned 16, hitch hiking home from down town on a Thursday night. Hot chick from school spots me and gets her mum to do a u turn in their brand new 5 litre SLE, she gave me a big smile and said get in.
This song and the rest of circus animals was pumping loud through the the commodore all the way home. I’ve never forgotten it. God her mum was fucking hot too...
