Great song with great early chisel melody. Not sure what the song is about however. Dresden was a town destroyed in world war2 bombing. Is Barnsey singing about the destructive nature of the bombing of the city or his own personal aguish as a young male?
Mate, I don't think anyone knows what this song is about or why it's "'Dresden' Blues"!!! I have been pondering this question, occasionally, for thirty years.
A wanna be glam rock 'guitarist' named Jay I played in a cover band with years ago who's hero was Richie Sambora from Bon Jovi tried telling me Ian Moss was a crap guitarist, he 1. was clearly a dumb ass with ordinary taste in guitarists & 2. obviously never heard the Chisel song Dresden! As a guitarist himself he couldn't pull off 10% of what Mossy does here
One of my absolute favourite Chisel tracks...sends shivers up my spine when I listen to it, years after my first hearing! I would of loved to have been in that room when this song was first created!

Beautiful early Chisel !!!! Why is it that I usually prefer the early stuff of the bands I really enjoy? (Except the Beatles, where it´s the reverse)
