This was played at our wedding in the sculpture gardens of the LaMoyn gallery. Very nice. The Museum had an exhibit of Nudes. We did not know that at the time but it certainly made for an iteresting evening. and an enjoyable evening it was.

We didn't have this at our wedding as it hadn't been recorded yet, but I did play it for my wife's memorial service, she loved this song!

My true companion died unexpectedly not long ago. As he died, angels were singing in his hospital room for two days, as he made his transition to the other side. The song the angels were singing when he died was "The Wedding Song" by Peter, Paul, and Mary. When I listen to the song "True Companion" the lyrics help sustain me through the overwhelming grief, particularly the part where Marc Cohn sings, "when I leave this earth I will be with angels standing waiting for my true companion". I hold onto these words and this thought as tightly as I can. Thank you Marc Cohn for the beautiful gift you have given to me. It means the world to me. I don't know how you have the wisdom and sensitivity you have, but I am grateful for it. Do you think anyone is ever lucky enough in life to have two true companions?

As a filmmaker and videographer, 8 have set photographs of a couples childhood at the beginning, love affair, first verse, wedding day second verse, when the line comes, "make love to you like a true companion" I put text up that says, "photo not available" I then use a clock transition to age the couple through the years, last verse, the are the couple on the corner. Truly the greatest 50th Anniversary song ever written.
