Anyone else get a Jun Senoue (SA2 composer for those unfamiliar with the name) or Crush40 vibe from the opening riff?

I'd love to hear a sort of "stripped down" version of this album. Not acoustic, but without the 20 layers of background noise almost every song has. One of my favorite Coheed albums hands down, but it's a little cacophonous at times.

This is a good point that I've never really been able to articulate. Like, it's almost sort of over-produced. Still enjoy it though.

Seriously though the song is about Dr Leonard and Pearl Honenberger ..

It's about the character Leon Hoenberger accepting his role as the eventual destroyer of all life in his galaxy and also the band calling out fans who are resistive to a change in their sound

Actually I discovered Coheed like 6 months ago starting from Afterman albums and I have to say that I love SSTB above every other album (maybe except No World for Tomorrow). I don't really know why, but maybe it has something to do with that dirty feel or Claudio's voice being so high pitched at the moment :)

Dude sstb is one of my favs, I love the voice he has before he “found” it. It’s so raw and suits the music very nicely

This song is awesome. I listen to Coheed all the time, but I just listened to "Away We Go" in Descension, and it was awesome. More of a positive mood to it.
